Now I'm intrigued about the Phantom possession mechanic!
I would like to see levels of hunt fir increased difficulty.
Level one: current
Level two: faster ghost, longer hunt, onject around it freak out
Level three: very fast ghost, longer hunt, lights turn red and flicker, all object on level freak out, doors open and slam close, if the ghost can see the diir your trying to go in it can lock it.
Ghost behavior is definitely more pronounced than it was before. Subtle/shy ghosts are especially shy, while roamers and territorial spooks have no qualms getting in your face. Even the little, barely invisible homing "puff" of fog that used to show up extremely rarely is now making appearances.
Me and my regular ghost hunting team took a break for other games over the holidays for the most part, but coming back this past weekend revealed that Sanity loss is definitely more intense than before, or at least, potentially so, and not just on Professional difficulty.
Ghosts can hear you now.
I think they must have added a new ghost too right? I seen a ghost the other day with pustules on his face and thought never seen him before

Is it wierd that I hope there is paid DLC? I want the studio to be able to support itself for long term updates.
there's some new features the dev taked about, ghost will now hear you during hunt(experimental) and in professional the breacker(power box,fuse box idk) will be turned off at the start of every game
Yeah I noticed the behavior changes a LOT. Homebody Oni, hyperactive Revenant(ESPECIALLY after smudging, literally a few seconds afterwards, lights shut off and we got that good old "heeeyyy").

The mono sound thing is mostly for the hearing impaired. I'm entirely deaf in one ear. Think of it like losing your depth perception in one eye: I have trouble telling where sounds are coming from, and using a stereo headset I entirely cannot hear sounds on my deaf side. Mono sound is such a good thing for me on this game. I have a much easier time hearing ghost activity now.
No longer are you forced to create a fire hazard in the houses by yeeting candles on the carpet/wooden floors
it was updated today, The Ghost will now listen for player voices when hunting and will search those locations. Replaced the new ghost whiteboard text for professional difficulty to make it more clear.
Professional Difficulty: The fuse box will now always start off.
Improvements to the Ghost AI when checking the last known location of the player it was chasing in multiplayer.

Man, that made me imagine them actually spicing up the difficulty by making it to where you have to be in a group for the ghost to respond. Does anyone else think such a concept could give more reason to pay attention to the white board?
I'm curious about the whole "Choose your difficulty" feature. I've personally been a huge fan of the random maps! Really makes you feel like a contractor talking whatever jobs you can get, and it removes one layer of control the player has so it adds to the spook factor. If Dusk sees this I would be curious to hear from him why he's for the change

So i've had a few games now where when I enter the house the breaker is already off. So now i'm curious when do the ghosts start to react? I always thought it was when you opened the house door but is it actually when you pick up the keys?
Great video. Little confused on the possession thing because I've seen videos of "players" manifesting but apparently possession isn't actually in the game
I had a shade with crazy high activity with multiple people through us off big time
How about making that lower your sanity is, slower you are. That way it would make it harder to run away from ghost. >.>

When I looked at the change log and saw you can change the difficulty I think I actually orgasmed, this isn't a big deal to many of my friends since they don't host but to someone who does host games this was fucking HUGE
its awesome that this game is probably gona stay for the long term since they can do so much more with this game if the time is givin to to really develop the game to its full potentinal. also maybe the ghost behavaiver thing is not on this note becaus its one for the hole game not just the beta mode where this patch is about. anyway awesome video thank you for this update about the game 😀
I noticed that I had a Jinn on Ridgeview, and it confused me because right off the bat I saw activity in the truck before I had even opened the truck door, and I walked outside and saw the light on in the room with the piano.. and I was beyond confused because it was throwing a lot of things at the same time at times and I thought it was an Oni, it took me literally 23 minutes to find the Ghost Orbs after going back like 7 times and moving the cameras 3 or 4 times.. I noticed it definitely got more pissed when I was in there, which made me think it was a Jinn, but Jinn’s are normally pretty neutral until you enter their room!
That thing with the bunny sounds more like your dead friends messing with you…
Lately every ghost including spirits that I use smudge sticks on basically turn into demons/polters. They instantly freak out and make the rest of the match way harder to complete. So at this moment I'm loathing the smudge task almost as much as the dirty water one haha.
Thank you for talking through the updates! For some reason, the candle update really makes me happy hahahaha. Last night we had a mannequin teleport at Bleasdale. We saw it move from under the stairs and up onto the landing, so THAT was a good spook!
Friend of mine purposed finding the ghosts name: clues around the house that helps. Was an interesting idea.
