In this video I encounter my VERY FIRST GORYO! This is one of the two new ghosts they added in the HUGE new Phasmophobia update. The Goryo is a very unique ghost. According to the journal they will rarely show themselves when there are people nearby. You also can only see their DOTS evidence while looking through a camera. In this video I try to learn as much about the Goryo as possible! I hope you enjoy, much love and see you during the streams 😀

    Clarification from the developers: the Goryo isn't supposed to show its DOTS while people are around but the range for detecting people is bugged at the moment. Will be fixed soon!

  8. See that doesn't make any sense, DOTS and actually appearing are not the same thing. So it should be that you can see the DOTS whenever but only with the camera, but the ghost itself will only show itself on camera when no one is near.

  10. I’ve got two points, one speculation, and one an observation.

    Firstly, the speculation. For the Ghost Events, perhaps it still performs them while invisible (but with no audio cue for the events, meaning it could potentially quickly, and stealthily, lower your sanity similar to a Jinn), however if you catch it on camera doing one it is forced to reveal itself for a while. Essentially, the video camera “Forces” it out of hiding for a while, letting you get a ghost photo and seeing its presence?

    This would also play into its strength. The idea being, you set up cams until you catch it doing a ghost event on cam, then you go in and have a small window of time in which it has no choice but to manifest itself, thus letting you get a ghost photo. Basically, think of it like using a camera like a Smudge Stick to reveal the ghost for a while. (For Example: both visible ghost events that occurred around the 18:30 Mark happened After you saw an Invisible Ghost Event via the video camera.) This is all Pure speculation of course.

    As for my one observation, I do believe the Weakness is working correctly. If you pay attention, the ghost, aside from during a hunt, was almost always at most 1-2 rooms away from what was listed as its “Ghost room” by the Ouija board.

    What I think happens here is that the ghost does still roam just as much as other ghosts, however it’s confined to a more contained area that it patrols compared to other ghosts (thus why it was so active in the living room, as it was adjacent to the kitchen).

    This means its roaming is much more active in the vicinity of its ghost room, because it’s moving between adjacent rooms constantly instead of always roaming wherever it feels like, which can cause the roaming to feel a bit more loose/all over the place with other ghosts.

  14. They'd have to have visible ghost events due to the objective to have a ghost photo. Also would be weird if the ghost event was different specifically for Goryo, since it would be super easy to figure out.
    Seems the dots description is off. edit: Just read the pinned comment, yeah that is what I figured.
    Also the sound cue, for those who don't know what to listen to, sounds like a kinda glitch in the "white noise" buzzing, sounds kind of like an insect's buzz for a second. instead of the constant like "zzzzzzzz" it goes "zzz ZZZ zz ZZ" I hope that makes sense lol

  18. "They are rarely SEEN far from there place of death" Maybe they don't often do ghost events outside there room? Also, I think Goryos should have a vary low chance at 55% sanity, to instead of a normal ghost event, a short hunt like event is triggered, in witch the ghost runs at the play and hisses or groans.
