Is the thermometer no longer useful? The recent Phasmophobia patches have massively nerfed the Thermo, it seems clear that the old meta of scanning the house with the thermo is not something the developer wants. You can still use it by turning on the breaker and allowing the house to heat up until you can find the room. But it’s much slower than it was before. I love this change overall, it rewards professionals that don’t rely on the thermo and it makes the game feel much more realistic. Let me know what you think in the comments below! The patch notes for v0.24.1 and v0.25.1 in #phasmophobia:
Fixes
1. Fixed a bug where the outside temperature was changing with the power.
2. Fixed a bug where you could use sanity pills infinitely when the truck was closed.
3. Professional Difficulty: Fixed a bug where the ghosts room would sometimes start at maximum temperature.
Changes
1. Removed the temperature objective due to the temperature changes.
2. Each room will now lower and raise their temperature at slightly different speeds.
3. Lowered the speed that temperature raises in rooms once the power is on.
4. Lowered the speed that the ghost lowers the temperature in it’s room.
5. Freezing temperature ghosts will now reduce the room temperature at the same speed as other ghosts. This means that when the power is off, all rooms including the ghost room will drop at a similar speed.
New
1. Added a delay for closing the truck door once it has been opened to prevent trolling.

For the first one, was the ghost room the bedroom or living room? You got spirit box in the bedroom but still said it was the living room???

I like these changes. Why? Because 1st time I played this game I was terrified and all of your videos are like spoilers making the game easy. Game still terrifies me but too easy to find the ghost especially freezing. With these changes now I'm confused to even find the ghost and the increase time to find adds the ghost roam lure if it's non freezing
they need to make the paramic smaller, takes up way 2 much screen space
when i finally can play phasmo again, it will be quite different for me , but i like the changes so far
I’d rather the thermo be a click to use gun like real Thermo guns but with a cool down
Where is this update how did you download it?
The thermo update is like "congrats this is how you kill your game!" I know a lot of the people like the updates but to me I basically stopped playing. I rather have gotten newer maps..
Bro me and my 2 friends were doing a no evidence run and one of them asked ''Wait… So no thermo???'' and then he was like ''How are we gonna get the room without thermo'' Im still disappointed cuz hes almost lvl 100
Thing is, you can already detect freezing by using your breath. How many nerfs before the thing is just gone? lol

How do you tell EMF based on the chart at 33:30? Ive found a reference to it going from 0-4 then back down in a square, but I dont see that here
I hate how the thermometer changes in lots of spikes and the actual farenheit is about
.2 farenheit each degree change each .1 in celcius
Personally not a fan that the fuse box affects the temperature.
at one poing he is just gonna make it 1 hour before it changes
You need to open 1st the breaker so you can easily identify the temperature.

I think overall, you can't have your tools so reliable as the thermometer was. That really does negate the challenge & lessen the fear factor.
But as a scaredy cat I don't like the nerf 🤣
