I think some of the Ghosts are broken! I said the same as you that no way would a Shade have Written in the Book whilst you were in the Room with it!
Did I see it correctly that you didn't actually Summon it on your Final run or did I just miss it? If so you dont have to Summon it on the 'Succesul' run as long as you have done so previously?
