Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we take a look at the Phasmophobia update roadmap for 2022! The developers have let us know what the minimum updates are that we can expect from 2022.   1. I'd really love to see them add some stuff to do if you die. There's not much to do at that point, would be nice if you could spook your friends as a ghost or mess with them by imitating the ghost or even interact with it! Just a little more to do when dead would be awesome.

Something I would want too see is too make the leveling more profitable, like getting the item uppgrades or something at higher levels, I would say that they could make rewards between 1-60 without any struggles, and then IF the max level will be 100 It would be totally fine with the prestige system, because after like lvl 12 the game aint even worth lvling anymore and the point of playing aint really there

  3. Yeah SteamVR > OpenXR means they’re moving from the SteamVR sdk to the newer OpenXR sdk. This should open up more possibilities for other platforms since as the name implies, the SteamVR sdk only works on steam.

  4. They've been saying Horror 2.0 for the longest time, and now they are basically saying it might come in between or after all of this shit. How long can you push that off, the game isn't scary anymore, hasn't been for the longest time.

    P.S Waiting for the "white knight" to strike me down.

  5. I wish, they would made ghost running and walking animations better/scarrier so they dont always move in the same wooden/boring animations. Hunts should be the scarierst part, but its just hide and seek agains a wooden-moving texture. A new killing animation would also be amazing.

  6. I still hope they add a second game mode that pulls the results of all the investigations, whether ghost was identified or not, and sends in your team to cleanse the ghost. So insym investigates, but dies before identifying it as a demon, and he got 2 of the evidences. Psycho loads up in Ghostbusters mode and gets assigned insym's case. He doesn't know exactly what ghost it was, but he knows 2 of the evidences. Now he has to cleanse the ghost. Maybe it's possible to cleanse even without figuring out exactly what it is (a longer, more difficult process for an unknown ghost type that works on all), but it's easier if you DO know.

  7. I hope they'll keep tweaking and improving ghost AI as they add updates. Maybe add some more interactions for it, things it can mess with/do, maybe add some more voice lines that it can answer to in one way or another as time goes on. It might not be on the plans for next year, but I hope it will be a side thing they do … also some kind of death animation that isn't the hands. Also one of the things in VR Update is engine update … pretty sure that's for everyone not just VR, so I'd say everyone's gonna get something, even if it might not be as much and if they're gonna create new player models and animations I'd imagine the animations will be more for Desktop than VR since, well, VR doesn't normally need that much in terms of animation, the player does most of the motions.

  8. They should make like a campaign. Or some sort of gamemode/challenge were you start with 0 money and you have to complete like 15 houses. And the less you die and get the right ghost/complete objectives and photo's etc. You'll get more points at the end of the run.

    After this run there should be a cool reward system. Like new skins or outfits, trophies, other rewards and what not.
    Just something fun and exciting to keep you playing. Now it's just you play but it doesn't matter if you die or not. Infinite money no real objective or goal besides finding the ghost in each game. There is no real progression.

    Also maybe like a hiscore like a top 300. Where you can see who has completed the most insane difficulty runs for example.

  9. "New render pipeline"
    Yes! Oh my god, yes. As far as I understand, Phasmo is currently running off of Unity's built-in render pipeline. Now that, is bad. Basically Unity in the past few years has been developing a new system called the 'Scriptable Render Pipeline' or SRP for short, allowing Unity devs to create their own render pipeline. Out of the box, Unity also applies two pipelines that are in active development:
    – Universal RP (formerly Lightweight RP) which is tailored for performance and mobile hardware;
    – High-Definition RP, which is designed for high-end platforms like PC and latest-gen consoles.

    Either of these pipelines is miles better than built-in. HDRP uses more modern tricks, delivering better visual quality with better performance than built-in, and URP uses single-pass shaders. What this means:
    – In built-in, Unity has to render some objects multiple times, applying several shader passes to deliver the final appearance.
    – In URP, the amount of shader passes is greatly reduced. There's only one pass for color, one for depth, one for shadow computation, etc. The greatly reduced GPU workload makes it run very fast.

    No matter what the Phasmo devs do there, switching to a different RP will make Phasmo run so much smoother and might make it look even better.

  10. would be cool to have some sort of game mechanic where you need to find out what happened / caused the ghosts death aswell, maybe even some sort of a ritual that u can optionally do to get rid of the ghost

  11. I personally would like updates to the gear and money. Like gear not being abt money, but level, and customizations and unlocks being abt money. But gear is just atm so fkn expensive and if you die one game to some fkn rev in asylum you instantly lose every fucking bit of your gear that fucking sucks. Full gear costs too fucking much

  12. The ghosts need much more unique personalities and qualities. So on nightmare or a no evidence run you can determine each ghost properly. A lot of them lack good characteristics
