TWO NEW Ghost Types Announced! – Phasmophobia Teaser



Welcome back to Phasmophobia! They just announced two new ghost types! In this video I go over the information that we’ve been given and I will give my own theories for what these ghosts might be able to do! I would also love to know your theories because they did a pretty good job blurring everything out this time. I predict that these ghosts will come out in the Halloween update later this month! This new update will also contain a new difficulty “nightmare mode”! I cannot wait for the new update! Much love and see you during the streams 😀

  2. So the elements of these ghosts could influence the Horror 2.0 update.

    There its reported new ghost events. Including hallucinations.

    Now the ghost Shown here could mimic players and their fake attacks could be from hallucinations which is the terminology for confusion.

    The mimic is a weakness but the hallucinations not so much in the long term because it will be a feature for majority or most of ghosts at least.

    The mimicing I deduced would be mimicing other ghost behaviours? So it's a lot harder to pin point this particular ghost off actions alone. Where as it's a lot easier to identify other ghosts just from behaviour

I think the idea that a ghost having the ability to mimic and perform actions that cause fake readings that only acute observers (could also have introduce a new item alongside it) would be extremely interesting. This would keep investigators on their toes and force them to stay very close attention to ghost behavior in general.
    Ex. This new ghost causes an EMF 5 reading despite it not being its own evidence, however the EMF 5 light would flicker or simply not appear at all. Maybe the sound would be lower or higher pitch than usual, as well.

    I like the idea of having a ghost that takes the already random A.I. and allows it to do whatever it wants. Players would have to use their brains as well as other tools. Perhaps they would have to form a strategy that restricts them to alternating between different evidence tools so it doesn't give a fake reading as often.

    Also, love the content. Won't lie I didn't always like your long videos, but as of recently they have become great for listening to in the background when I'm working on school or doing whatever. I'm a very timid person who doesn't like horror, so the Horror 2.0 Update is giving me mild fear.

    The thing is if I go with Real world, Demons are knows for mimicking people and other spirits/ghosts. But we already have demon in the game..

    Right now, we know that if there's an orb, there's no EMF and vice versa, but I would love them to change that as well. That'd be cool as well . Maybe one day lol

  5. I believe it would be really hard to mimic player action and to make it look "realistic". I think it will be mimicking ghost actions/abilities. For example, it will sometimes disappear after taking picture or throw multiple objects at once.

  6. The ghost could potentially mimic behaviour of other ghosts. Or even fake evidence for us. As they have original Spirit Box + Freezing evidence duo, this could be one ghost that you always have to look for. It could fit with the idea that now we can cross out evidence that isn't showing. Otherwise other ghost probably also has those two evidences as well.

    Either all that – or you are correct and it either mimics movement or straight up mimics players, including creating an impostor player like the Egyptian thingy had.

  7. That fake attack thing could be an attack where the ghost won't kill you even if he touches you, so he could like come after you, everything flickers, you run, but after the "hunt" ends, he could just laugh as if he was making fun of you, this could be a very fun interaction

  8. The Twins. The Twins have been reported to mimic each others actions. They something something attacks to confuse their prey. There is a reason some of the pronouns are blurred, i think its because it gives away its two ghosts.

    Weakness: The twins will often interact with the environment at the same time.

  9. Since there’s a ouija board in this game they should add the demon most affiliated with it that most people know. Zozo, I think that would be pretty cool.

  10. Insym, how do you feel about famous location being added? Places like the Winchester Mystery House, Eastern State Penitentiary, and the Lizzy Borden house. Maybe even international places like Edinburgh Castle, Bran Castle, or the Sedlec Ossuary.
    A lot of people would never be able to visit these places, especially given current global events, and giving them the ability to hunt ghosts in these iconic buildings would be a phenomenal experience.

  11. The Joker or Jester? I remember in the video where you were playing with the artist that he mentioned a new ghost that doesn't have a traditional ghost type, but the name fits perfectly with it. So if a ghost is faking hunts or mimicking behavior, a "jokester" comes to mind.

  12. Ik some people already said stuff similar but I think the ghost may minic other ghost during hunts. Like 1 hunt could not have footsteps because it mimics a myling, 1 hunt could start at 100 if it imitates a banshee, and 1 hunt its slow unless it sees you like a rev. It would be interesting because a lot of skilled players can determine the ghost type after a hunt by seeing how rapid it blinks or fast it moves and the such. So adding this would make players have to take more time and not jump to conclusions.

  13. It could be a "fake attack" but it appears completely like a normal hunt, meaning the only way to discover if its a fake attack or not is being caught, which means if it isn't a Ghast (which is what I think it says) you will be killed.

  14. This is probably way off, but what if it mimics a players voice. Like takes clips from previous games. I don't know how hard that would be to do but could be funny in multiplayer

  15. I'm thinking that the J ghost could possibly be a Jiangshi. Since Jiangshi are supposed to be actual corpses that would explain the close mimicry of investigator actions; and the fact that Jiangshi are aggressive hunters for the life force of mortals could indicate the false hunts or the fact that its quick to anger.

  16. What if “fake hunts” would happen early just like a normal hunt, except the ghost can’t actually kill you yet. It would mimic an early hunting ghost, but you wouldn’t know if it’s fake or not unless you risked someone’s life to find out 🤔

  17. I’d like to see something like a ghost event but it makes your equipment glitch out like it’s hunting but in a smaller radius so you could tell it’s not actually hunting. I feel like it would be a fun little troll ghost plus you could use the fake hunt for no evidence challenge plus there’s other ghosts that give themselves away like phantom and rev
