Revenant was the scariest ghost in the game because it was the only ghost that could reliably kill you back in the old days when you could just outrun and loop every other ghost and it was harder to get out of a bad spot before it tried to kill you since player movement speed was a lot slower at the time.
Now pretty much every other ghost can speed up (with a few exceptions among them) and don’t have the weakness of being slow when they lose track of you, and we have sprinting so if you’re aware of a hunt starting you have a much greater chance of being able to break line of sight before a Revenant even has a chance to zoom and catch you.
