I think the paw hates most players. I've been very lucky when I've used it, 'cause I've revived more teammates that I've died. One of my friends nicknamed me "the monkey's paw favorite". They don't even use the paw. If someone dies, I'm the one that uses the paw to try to revive them, most of the times I succeed.
