I don't get the hate for this. It's not meant to sound like a ghost talking directly to you, it's meant to sound like it's responding with bits from radio broadcasts. Makes sense considering how the device functions, sweeping through radio frequencies. Way more believable and flavorful.
I think the old one is actually better, sure, this one is how spirit boxes actually work in real life, but it removed all the fun the older cheesy one had, me and my friends would mess with the ghost all the time whenever it responded, but now, we don't even understand what the ghost says
