Are CUPBOARD DOORS SAFE in Phasmophobia?



This is a short test to show if cupboard doors in Phasmophobia can be deemed as safe. Furniture blocks line of sight but do the doors block them too?

  1. Ive been thinkin bout 2 new ghosts types:
    Crying ghost
    Desc: based on a latin american legend, this ghost is known to do lots of ghosts events, and will have a stronger impact on your sanity.
    Strenght: this ghost could do more ghosts events than other ghosts.
    Weakness:

    Evidence: finger, orb, freezin

    Soul:
    Desc: the ghost of someone who died unexpectly and remain in the living world hauntin its dying place.
    Strenght:

    Weakness:

    Evidence: freezin, EMF 5, spirit box

    I been having a lot of trouble thinkin the strenght of the soul n thw weaknesses of both of em maybe you can think of somethin. (Ive already postd this in discord)

  2. Can you back up further behind the cupboard than you were? I know you were 100% just testing the cupboard door so I'm not sure. I know this HAD been listed as a hiding spot before but I've never actually hid there myself. (I use laundry room, basement trashcan, but now mostly behind the chair or the door to garage) Willow is such a great map for hiding, probably my favorite map now. Feels way more "real". Can't wait for some more maps like it with 2nd floors!
    Sucks if you get trapped in the boy's room though… hasn't happened to me YET. Just wondering if that nook next to the cupboard is helpful at all for hiding, regardless of the cupboard door.
    Also – that ghost was REALLY cooperative to help test, spawning there! Thanks again for all your testing. 🙂

  3. Are Shades supposed to be able to spawn and start a hunt when there's multiple people in the room?
    Has been happening to me for a while now and thought they might have been changed, but haven't seen anything in the patch notes about it…

  4. Hey Psycho you should check out “Ghost Hunters Corp” it’s kinda like phas but you focus on exorcising the ghost.

    Fair warning. It can chase you outside. Run inside the van and shut the door during a hunt.

The ghost can find you if it had line of sight on you BEFORE you hid; it will then search in the general area that you are in, because it knows the direction that you went…and in this case, it will find you easily. If you ducked in behind those doors BEFORE it saw you (which was a bad gamble since it spawned RIGHT in front of you), it would have a lower probability of walking near the door, close enough to get line of sight. In other words, I think those doors do indeed block line of sight; they just don't protect you from smart ghosts that know how to look behind shit. lol

  6. DK really needs to add furniture to hide behind in the front room that is actually safe. If a hunt starts while you're in that room (which you are forced to walk through when entering/leaving) and the ghost is either garage, kitchen, or main hallway, you're just dead. It's incredibly unbalanced and anti-fun.
