With the latest Beta update coming ever closer, the new ghost speed changes during hunts will soon be upon us. In this video I’ll be talking about why I think the Jinn will become much more dangerous, and what we might be able to do against it.

  1. I love the concept of Jinns so much. That sanity drain activating only when you're extremely close ties in so well with their defensive and territorial nature. Many ghosts are just generally hostile, but with the Jinn? You're the one crossing boundaries. They've drawn their line, and if despite their warnings you continue to cross it, they're going to let you know the hard way.

They're easily my favorite ghost type, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them become a bigger threat. They deserve the buff!

  2. They have a great opportunity to make the wraith terrifying, let it see through doors and phase through objects like counters and couches, this would make it terrifying to face against on a small map, hiding in a closet would be a death wish and trying to loop it around the kitchen table would no longer work, I think this would be a great change bring yet another ghost up to the ranks of the revenant

  3. i honestly don't like this decision. and it is a huge downfall for myself.

what you gonna do when you had to loop, run across a corridor or simply can't get off from the ghost? will you gonna die horribly or will they cannot catch you anyway. it is either a poor decision or just an unimpressive one.

  4. Personally don’t really like this update, I really rely on outrunning the ghost sometimes, especially on large maps like asylum. I feel like it might make it too difficult and almost guarantee death if you can’t break line of sight. I love the concept though!

  5. YESSSS!!!! I really think we do need harder hunts. Me and my buddy don't get caught very often, unless we utterly fuck up or something. Having the ghost move faster if it maintains line of sight would definitely raise the stakes and make hunts much more difficult, but I love the concept!!!!

  6. Depends on the speed, the trello implies that it will take awhile for the ghost to eclipse your speed. I really don't think this update will make any real difference. I also have a feeling that when the Jinn gets within 4 meters, it will reset that count.

  7. I've been thinking this from the moment they announced the changes. Part of why I've not been looking forward to the update, pretty sure it's going to cross the line into not being fun with too many of the changes implemented.

  8. I feel like this would ruin the ghosts having unique behaviors depending on their type, but I guess on a gameplay standpoint this does make it harder to cheese. It might be nicer if this is only on professional difficulty. And on another hand(maybe foot?) this also means that you will have a bigger reason to deactivate the breaker as well(aside from the jinn literally killing you now if you're in line of sight for too long)(edit: I just realized that was the reason why)

  9. My opinion is that they should make hiding spots on bigger maps, like a few two / four each long hallway, but im fine with the changes about the walk speed, make hiding spots avaible on Grafton tho
