  1. I think the best of both worlds would be doing an intermediate trophy that everybody can get, but then a gold/special version of the same trophy for doing it in nightmare and getting the ghost photo. That way, it carries the incentive of bringing players back during the holidays to get the trophy, but a special version for the people who are able and willing to step up to the challenge.

  2. I started playing Phasmo in October, so I was scared of even playing on professional, much less nughtmare, so I wasn't even concerned about trying the Halloween event. I was just trying to survive. I've since moved on to professional.

  3. My roomie and I completed the Christmas challenge together 😊 I absolutely agree that the challenges should be available to people at each level, or at least intermediate and above. I think everyone would play at their preferred level- I’d probably try on professional which would be the equivalent of you playing on 24x using chat as your ears 😂 I don’t think anyone out there is playing this game to not be challenged. That’s the fun of it… to be challenged and celebrate the small victories each time skill improvement occurs.

    Here’s to future challenges!!!

  4. Amateur difficulty is to make new players feel safe so they can get comfortable with the game. I don't like horror themed games, so when I started I was clinging to amateur. Once I got comfortable, I moved up… but insisted I would never play nightmare. Well, now I pretty much only play nightmare. I still don't play solo… but considering it soon, to get the bronze trophy.
But I agree, limited time events should be any preset difficulty above amateur. I say above amateur to encourage players to let go of the minor bit of safety. Those people who are complaining about it being on easier difficulties have the 24x trophy to brag about.
But, a participation trophy would be something like 'oh, you played one map… live or die, guess right or wrong… here is a trophy anyway.'
But yeah, I have both the halloween and christmas trophies. With how extensive the halloween one was, I was glad they restored sanity as you collected them… but the cookies don't need that since they are easier to find and less of them to track down.
Right now, I see badges as a way to show experience with the game. Their oldest trophy/badge shows me when they got good… and the completion of their collection is how much they enjoy the game.
The 24x trophy demonstrates the people dedicated to going hard core on it. I might eventually try to get it myself, especially since there are ways to cheese it… but I'm not ready to try yet. But it is the only thing needed for hoisting up their skill (or ability to cheese).

  5. I finished it a week ago but now I can't change my badge to the new one. Neither can my friend. It still shows all the Christmas tree stickers with the checkmark. Idk what to do

Entered the room and instant polter explosion! And i was like "Okay, well… thanks for that! Byyyeee" Took me 4 min for 2k!

  7. I have the Halloween and Christmas Trophies. I love Phasmophobia but it is hard for me to play above intermediate. I have cried so many times because it's so scary. If not for my son playing with me I would never of gotten the trophies.

  8. I was very spooked, but I did it too! I also then bravely played Prison by myself, and next I'll explore the high school, Maple Lodge and Sunny Meadows with a friendly ghost to learn all the hiding spots before going in for proper rewards.

  9. I didn't get the Halloween 🙁 I was still a newbie and way too scared to do nightmare mode. And I was not taking a photo of the ghost, no way. LOL. So I'm super happy they did the Christmas one on intermediate. I was an amateur player and thought MAYBE I can do this, and I did! Got me to play on all the other difficulty levels 😀

Also, I LOVE the badge. It makes me feel special.

  10. Every single player, regardless of level, should be able to get the holiday trophies. These are just meant as fun little seasonal activities, that you can do with a group of friends, and are not meant to challenge your skills. For non-holiday trophies the devs can make them as difficult as they want because they are meant to be challenging and should only achievable by more skilled players.

  11. Don't stop thinking on just a Miss Santa Claus model, you might as well think of a "Reindeer Man" model, an Snowman model, a Abominable Snowman/Ieti/Yeti model, the Krampus model or the Grinch model. For the kid ghost model why not a Xmas/Christmas Elf model?

  12. Which trophy is going to be left of the halloween 22 one? Should be Easter 22 but there was no trophy for this event. This part of the shelf looks like itgs the "2022 shelf" but somethings missing

  13. I admit it – I wasn't able to get the Halloween trophy this year! I was here and playing, but my friends and I tend to play easier levels, like small maps and on intermediate (We just graduated to being able to do Nightmare, just not well). We just love the atmosphere of the game and have fun hanging out after work and hunting ghosts, so we don't push ourselves to be stressed. I am SO impressed by everyone who got the 24x trophy, because it really is a hard challenge! I don't mind missing out on that trophy if I won't be able to do it, it makes it more meaningful for the people who did. I live vicariously through you doing the really hard stuff in the game 🙂

  14. I agree with what you say on 29:05. These kinds of trophies should be available to everyone. No one is entitled into gatekeeping any game. Cerberus called: he wants his job back.
My big project this year will be my first trip in Europe since my trip to Portugal in 2017.

  15. There can be a perfect metric for the event based rewards. You are correct in that people will always have something to complain about, but once you mix up the formula enough you end up with very valuable consumer data where you can implement the least offensive option based on what was complained about the least.
