The #phasmophobia patch notes for v0.26.2:
Fixes
1. Fixed a bug where the ghost would sometimes only hunt for a few seconds.
2. Fixed an issue where the strong flashlights volumetric lighting wasn’t the same as the shoulder flashlight.
3. Fixed a bug where the survive a hunt challenge was completing when there was no hunt.
4. Fixed a bug where the house radios couldn’t be turn on.
5. Potential fix for being able to sometimes walk through the Asylum entrance doors during a hunt.
Changes
1. Improved the spawning of ghost orbs to prevent them from spawning on the roof or floor of the room.
2. EMF Readers will now give random values during hunts similar to how the flashlight flashes during hunts.
3. You can now only get footstep photo evidence when the ghost has walked in salt and not during a hunt.
4. Adjusted the lighting on Asylum to help improve fps.

  1. In my opinion every change makes the game better but every fix makes it more boring and predictable. compared to when it came out you now find all the evicences within the first 4 minutes and are done

  2. So Insym, what i think about DK thinking on the door thing, is that random people can't just open the locker and closet doors if there are others also hiding aka to prevent people from getting others killed like that

  3. That means that when you were trying to leave a specific room(ghost room) or the house, other people used to close the door and hold it so that the players could not leave the room and repeatedly call out the ghost to invoke it's hunt sequence.
I hope I was clear with what I said. 🙂

  4. Yeah, you can lock someone in/out of rooms. A friend of mine locked me in the ghost's room for several minutes and I'm lucky the ghost didn't hunt during that time. I got them back for it though but the ghost did start hunting and despite my opening the door as soon as it started, my friend wasn't able to survive.

All this to say; yes, you can troll people with doors.

  5. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the EMF change works.. can ghosts hear noises tools make? because that might mean they'd be able to find you using the emf sound? im not sure haha, its exciting how many changes DK's been rolling out!

It's nice how alive the game feels.. despite its subject matter haha

  6. Just FYI: On this patch trolls can softlock any game by holding the front door shut, there is no way to escape if someone does that (besides disconnecting). I let DK know about this problem and it should be fixed next patch!

  7. It is a nice idea to get evidence of a wraith by taking a picture of the non-existing footsteps but this would be more exact if the photos in the journal worked more reliable. I would always be wonder if it worked or it's just buggy again.

  8. Imagine going to a job where all your top of the line equipment gave random useless values. And the boss in charge thought that was a good idea. A chance for equipment to fail is one thing. But random values? That's dumb, imo

  9. So for footstep pictures do you just have to take a picture of the footprints in the salt or do they need to be the glowing ones, I assume just the salt right why require a glow stick or uv just for a picture
