They are adding even more new items to Phasmophobia! They just teased that they are adding Tarot cards to Phasmophobia. We don’t know what these cards will do just yet but in this video I give one possibility of what they could be used for. Let me know what you think! Much love and see you during the streams 😀

  1. this is so cool! i would love to see the fool card like this: the ghost maybe hides one of its evidences, or maybe will change into a different one. maybe act like a different ghost or something? i look forward omg

  2. I have noticed that on their Trello, the Update isn´t called "Christmas Update" anymore, but "Cursed Possessions Update", did they gave any News if it´s still coming out around Christmas?

    At first I wondered why death card is drawn like that until I realised that'd hit we die in the game XD

  4. i see a lot of people suggesting the death card killing the player, but i highly doubt that, because in almost all ways it could be implemented it would either go against the way the game has been structured so far or just amount to bad game design. i'd expect it to do something like instantly trigger a hunt regardless of circumstances instead.
    that being said, i like the idea of the cards changing their meaning based on whether they're rightside up or upside down, like they do with IRL tarot cards; whether they end up being something you find during games or activate beforehand for overall game modifiers, the idea of having a deck of cards working similar to the D&D deck of many things, in that you draw a random card and get its effect.
    in that way it would be an interesting gamble, especially if they stick with the theme of each card having a possible positive or negative outcome, as well as, if they're found during the game, early vs late game benefits. say you're quite late into the map looking for an effect like a sanity boost or hunt prevention, but to get it you have to accept that you might get something awful like an instant hunt or something useless, like maybe a card that gives you an evidence piece for free.
    in that same vein, depending on the state of the game, some cards may turn from negative to positive, say you have an effect that tanks your sanity or starts a hunt, which would really trip you up early but might be just what you need towards the end of the game when you're just fishing for a ghost photo, or even on nightmare or a no evidence run, when you need a hunt to test for unique ghost behaviours.
    the possibilities are endless!

  5. TL:DR Tarot cards new in-depth evidence? Or as Insym stated in the video? The moon tarot card some sort of Sanity buff?

    So. Personally, I could go a couple of ways. Maybe, they’re adding this as a new type of evidence, but with this evidence, it becomes more indepth with which cards are shown. But looking at it from actual tarot cards? I think these will be as you stated, modifiers for the current game. Building off of that idea, I think the hermit would be no talking. Yes, you COULD talk(cuz spirit box, duh). But not be able to hear your teammates? And for the moon, I agree, sanity, yes. But think about what the moon means. What do you think? I think of peace and tranquillity when I think of the moon in a mythical way. And with this, I have three ideas. Two more feasible than the last. 1. Higher starting sanity 2. Passive sanity regeneration? Like sanity pills, but constantly. And 3. No losing sanity when in the dark. Only lose it due to ghost events, hunts, and Ouija board. This is my long thing.

  6. Quick thought on what they could be

    Death: Grace period removed from hunt starting.
    The Fool: Ghost can leave one piece of false evidence in addition to the actual evidence, requiring secondary evidence to confirm.
    The Hermit: Ghost interactions stop unless it is alone with 1 player with a LARGE radius of influence, more than the ghost box
    The Devil: Ghost Sanity attack damage increase
    Wheel of Fortune: Any events with probability modifiers are flipped around. i.e rarer outcomes happen at the opposite frequency
    The Tower: At low sanity sense disrupting ghost events intensify (Ghost making hissing noises, bulbs smashing, stuff getting chucked around)
    The Moon: The presence of the ghost will randomly create the impressions of a hunt without actually doing one. i.e players will be forced to watch for the ghost manifesting to figure out if it is faking a hunt or is ACTUALLY hunting.

  7. We need a storage facility map!! Office, utility, bathroom, creepy hallway with small units. I work in a storage facility and the doors are so loud it would be very ominous. Can’t tell you how creepy it is out there at night even in my car with my lights on.. upvote this please!!! Devs I can show you my facility for inspiration 😍😍

  8. It's interesting how he refuses to pronounce tarot properly. I have even had a conversation with him in one of his streams about the proper pronunciation and he still refuses to say it the right way. if he didnt know it wouldnt be a big deal.. but several others in his streams have also informed him so it feels kinda disrespectful to those who actually use them

    As I just watched Jojo's bizarre adventure again, all of those cards are also in Jojo. The cards tell which kind of stands people can have. (This is sus)
