  1. The only thing which is an immediate turnoff for me is the "Loud scream flashing images popup jumpscare" in the end. If they have to implement the death / catching in an earrapey fashion it's not the ambience and monster i fear, but the sudden loud noise that ruptures my eardrums.

  2. I this Phasmo and Forewarned can co-exist with each other, and not be a competition, they're really similar, but I can see myself playing both games just as much as I play Phas.

  3. Oh, I am excited about the procedurely generated part! And the choice toward the end to flip sides. I agree that wouldn't be good in Phasmo, but I love the idea of it in a game better suited for it. Definitely worth following.

  4. Small maps should be static in Phas… but having large scale maps like Asylum be procedurally generated, no blueprint provided and with rare room spawns would be my dream update. So much exploration and it would really mix up how risk taking works in the game.

  5. Phasmo has a strong mystery/puzzle solving element, while this seems to be more about exploring and trying to recover the loot/treasure. It’s eventual pvp element sounds fun – nice to have the choice to play the monster. :3 I think there was a game Markiplier played with Bob and Wade where you could be the monster, and it was very fun to watch. :3

  6. Nuzz, I wish you hadn't made this video (yet)… Now I am just going to crave this game until it comes out…. I'm addicted to Phasmo on my Rift S, and I have a feeling this will scratch that next itch if the gloss ever wears off of Phasmo (which if we can get some new maps soon will likely take a while)….

  7. Not my cup of tea. Jumpscares don’t work in a game like Phasmo which is casual, this seems more fnaf jumpscares and such, I’ll stick with Phasmo for now.

  8. Not sure why everyone is going on about the jumpscares in Forewarning…. Not sure you've played Phasmo enough 'cause the ghost has literally manifested (out of no where) in my face and given me plenty of jump scares and I don't scare easily. I've shouted, "For *uck!!!!" or, "Nah, *itch!!" enough times on Phasmo 🙈🤣

  9. Procedural generation is huge. The drawback of course is that the maps themselves won't have the same level of detail that say, Phasmophobia's houses (especially) have, but it adds a lot of replayability.

  10. Phasmo's creating a new genre. While it does share game mechanics, it doesn't really feel like a potential competitor. The change in setting and treasure hunting (as well as possible pvp), make it sound very different ultimately.

I'm curious if they're going to do the low-sanity hunts route, or will the Maji/Mummy thing be out at all times, and if that's not the only danger. It would be curious if they went with the tomb-raider/ indiana jones route and not have other lethal traps in it.

  11. At least the objective is more believable, searching for treasures of unimaginable value in a haunted tomb instead of risking your entire existence in a haunted flat for a few hundred dollars.
