Forewarned VR Gameplay Is So Scary It Makes Phasmophobia Look Like Nintendo Labo – Ian's VR Corner

HEADPHONE WARNING! On this episode of Ian’s VR Corner, Ian lets out some of the biggest screams he’s ever done screamed and it’s all because of Forewarned VR gameplay. Forewarned is basically Phasmophobia but in Egypt and in today’s video, Ian’s playing it for the first (and possibly last) time! Join Ian as he takes three trips into cursed Egyptian and wince as he blunders into traps, drops all his equipment on the floor and then gets so scared he almost pukes. It’s a fun one!

  1. It seems to suffer from the same thing all of the Phasmo-likes suffer from (including Phasmophobia). Plastic-looking characters and too little focus on making monsters look and feel scary. That final change from the dude in the hard-hat to the monster was just bad. No morphing, just "remove old model and insert new model". Not even a smoke effect. I am flabbergasted why all of these games don't do more to make the ghosts and monsters look and move right. Janky is the right word to use.

Clearly Ian got scared here, sure, but that will wear thin quickly when it looks as janky as it does. Although Ian's reaction actually scared me a bit. 😀 Omg, almost vomiting from a scare. That's some next-level shit!

I mean, in Phasmophobia, why does the ghosts not have an otherwordly look to them when they spawn? Why aren't they ethereal and translucent? Why don't they shine a slight icecold blue color. It's just odd to me, that not a single one of these games have put time and effort into these things.

  2. Pretty sure once all the jump scares have been experienced the mechanics will feel too simular to Phasmaphobia. I think Phasmalike games should be as a service games and constantly be updated giving us new content with a honest use of micro-transactions. 🙄

  4. I was tense just watching this in the daylight, definitely gotta get Aoife and Zoe on for a game! I did get a good chuckle though when you managed to drop your lighter inside the big vase lol but then it was back to terror!
