I play a lot of Phasmophobia on Professional with friends and I still get scared from every single sound in the game, 90% of the time I live and 75% of the time my friends and I have guessed the right ghost with only two things of evidence! 🤣 But its terrifying, you gotta try and get all 3 pieces of evidence, pay attention to how the ghost is behaving and see which ones want power on and which ones that don't! Some thrive with the power on and you will die fast like Jinn and Raiju while Demon and Mare love when the power is off and it's dark. 10/10 love this game!

  14. I personally stay away from scary games, but Phasmophobia is one of those games where I want to come back to! It's like Pokemon, but for ghost types! Idk how much Phas has changed, but if the mission of identifying the type of ghost is the same you want to press the J button to pull up your journal and briefly look over the differences between the types of ghosts. Each ghost type has up to 3 things to identify them, and their weaknesses. You have to record your 3 evidence in your journal and you have your ghost! Best strategy is to take our Thermometer and/or EMF and figure out which place is either cold or has the most activity, then go to your truck and dump all of your evidence in that room to test. It's a lot more fun when you have a full party of 4 people and controlling their own characters, that way you can cover more ground and sacrifice a friend or 2 to buy you time to figure out what ghost it is. The missions on the board are bonus goals that get you extra money at the end. If you wanted, you could guess the 3 evidence or just the type of ghost and leave the scene. Once your team determined the 3 evidence in your journal, you can all gather in your truck to leave (spirit or human) by pressing the button next to your truck door from inside. Hope this helps and that this knowledge isn't too outdated. Lol

  28. "Let us know how to win" – There's a lot of nuances to the game but here are some tips to get started – I haven't played for a while so some of this may not be as applicable anymore.

    Not all items work for all ghosts, for example, some ghosts may leave UV fingerprints on doors they have opened and others never will (The UV light is just for finding fingerprints on doors really).

    The EMF reader is a great item for trying to find where the ghost is mainly haunting in the lower difficulties, you may not have a ghost which gives level 5 EMF but the EMF reader will still pick up 1 to 4 levels of ghost activity which helps you find the ghost's location. Make sure to turn on the EMF reader.

    Use your journal to tick off evidence which helps narrow your potential ghosts.

    Listen to sounds such as facets turning on or doors opening by themselves, this helps direct you where to investigate.

    Freezing temperatures will allow you to see your own breathe which is a great hint, the temp gun is great for finding ghost rooms but I heard they patched it so it can't be used immediately on game start.

    Many items can be turned on and then dropped or placed and they will still operate even if you're not holding it (i.e. dropping an EMF reader, spirit box or video camera – they will still work as if you are holding them)

    Items like the spirit book need to be placed and not dropped.

    There are a list of useful phrases you can find for the spirit box online that the ghost will answer with text and audio, phrases like "Do you want to hurt us?", "Are you angry?", "Is anyone here?" and "What is your age?". Unless they patched it, you need to be in complete darkness to use the spirit box and get a response.

    The trailer is very useful for checking activity, maps, sanity and video feeds.

    The ghost is always listening to your open microphone even if you are not using voice chat in game, some ghosts get very aggressive if you use their real name.

    When a ghost starts a "ghost hunt" (when it can actually kill you), the main doors will slam closed preventing you from leaving and your flashlight will begin to flash on and off automatically, if this happens find somewhere to hide and be super quiet (including in real life if you have a microphone – I think) until things go back to normal.
