  1. THis game is fun and all, but trust me when I say this, its going to get boring after a while, because it just gets repetitive. Also, the higher difficulties are not fun at all and are somewhat impossible

  3. Hey Taste! I love this game and I'm glad to see you're enjoying it too. Each ghost is a unique challenge with different behaviors and means of detection. You'll get better at figuring it out as you play. But for now here are a few tips to become a better ghost hunter.

This game has a lot of voice detection in it and the ghosts can react to what you say. Swearing and aggressive language, calling ghosts by their name, or phrases showing that you're scared can ramp up a ghosts aggression and lead to more frequent hunts or paranormal activity. Speaking positively, respectfully, asking questions through the spirit box, and remaining calm will not raise their aggression as quickly.

Every mission has a "ghost room". After hunting a ghost will flee back to its room to recharge itself. Usually this is an area a ghost will stick around (with a few exceptions) while it is idle and it will be a place with more paranormal activity than usual.

In addition to unique evidence each ghost has a different behavior:

Spirits don't have particular traits and can thereby be the hardest to nail down without hard evidence. Just remember that the longer it takes, the more aggressive the ghost becomes.

Wraiths are the only ghost that can fly, see through doors, and pass through solid objects. It makes hiding during a hunt a tricky proposition. To combat them use salt as they have a nasty reaction to the stuff and will stop hunting if they step in it.

Phantoms drain sanity fast if you look at them. Also they can take the form of a doppelganger to try to fool investigators into coming closer. Taking a picture of them can cause them to retreat for a while if you need time to escape.

Poltergeists are true to their namesake. They love causing paranormal activty and are very loud and active ghosts.

Shades are very opposite. They are shy and only manifest when people are alone. If you think you're hunting a shade then try to split up if you want it to do something paranormal.

Demons are agreed by the community to be one of the worst ghosts to encounter. They are VERY aggressive and will hunt often especially if it detects aggression or fear in your voice. Demons are quite slow however, and they have the most weaknesses. They can be repelled with Smudge Sticks, Salt and Crucifixes if you're prepared.

Banshees are the other really aggressive ghost. They are unique in that they will target a single player to hunt until they are either dead or leave the area. If you find this out then you can use this by using the player under threat to grab its attention while you gather evidence elsewhere.

Jinn are territorial ghosts who will mostly hang around the ghost room. They are also ghosts who work better in the light as it makes them move faster. If you suspect a Jinn then cut off the fuse box to reduce its movement and aggression.

Mares are the opposite. They thrive in the dark and get major stat boosts for it. If you suspect a Mare then make sure the lights are on to slow it down.

Onis act similar to Demons but only become more aggressive when players are grouped together, forcing you to split up if you want to play it safe. Like Poltergeists, they may also throw around objects, though this does not lead to a noticeable decrease in sanity levels. They also tend to wander far from their Ghost Room.

Revenants are dangerous for two reasons. They get a stat boost when they see their chosen target and they are the only ghost that can actively switch targets in the middle of the hunt. If you suspect a Revenant then break line of sight immediately to increase your chances of survival.

Hantu are spirits that love the cold. If you're on a level with a disabled fuse box then you're in dangerous territory if a Hantu is chasing you. However the temperature gauge is a sure way to track it. Keep the fire lit and the lights on if you want to keep it slow.

Yokai are unique in that they turn aggressive if players talk near them, allowing them to start hunts even at high sanity levels. They have however the shortest hearing radius of all ghosts.

The Goryo is difficult to detect as it requires a dots projector. also it refuses to show itself on camera if a person is in the room meaning a remote camera is needed to view it on film. However it doesn't roam far from the ghost room usually. Once you find one you can be sure the ghost room is nearby and focus your evidence gathering in the area.

Myling are all about sounds. It will make noises a lot more than normal ghosts meaning a parabolic microphone can be crucial in tracking it. However it also becomes silent while hunting until it is within striking distance making it a deadly ambusher.

Onryo are spirits that hate fire. Holding a candle or lighter in its presence will cause it to blow it out and immediately hunt. This can be used to your advantage as it wont leave a room with an open flame until extinguished and it means you can control where and when it hunts to an extent.

Obake will revert paranormal activity back to its original state making it hard to track but it also leaves a unique handprint behind that has six fingers. The blacklight is crucial for ID'ing this ghost.

Raiju are ghosts empowered by electromagnetism. Any electronic gizmos left on in the are will immediately give it a stat boost. The upside is that it messes with electronics frequently meaning it can be tracked when electronics exprience frequent paranormal activity.

The Twins are a ghost pair that rely on deception. There is one twin that remains in the ghost room and another that roams around. They both react to different tools and will cause paranormal activity at the same time which can lead investigators to conflicting conclusions. However the key is teamwork. Keeping each other aware of happenings in different places at once and conflicting evidences can make this ghost type easier to nail down.
