  1. I feel like Phantoms are one of the more dangerous and in that sense underrated ghosts in Phasmophobia, specially in the houses because of the map's close quarters nature. Because of the Phantoms phasing, It makes them incredibly difficult to judge how far away they are, they can phase around tight corners and re appear right next to you and catch you of guard, With new additions to ghosts such as a speed up during chases and the fact they roam and can potentially start hunting anywhere in the house having a ghost that is invisible a lot of the time its hunting is incredibly difficult to work around.

  2. The hantu has a thing we're it's speed is based on the temp of the room… So it can be a little unpredictable.

But yea. First thing you ever do is turn power on so…

  3. Banshee can pick a new target if the current one is outside the house. To counter it's power, don't stay in one place, don't give it a chance to catch line of sight (While it's not hunting) for a significant amount of time and it's power doesn't work since it will track you down, stand still, then hunt if you're still within LOS after however many seconds it was… As for Yokai, it can actually hunt at higher sanity than the demon, it's just hard to trigger, at least from my experience. It was confirmed they can start a hunt at 80%, whereas demons are now 70% (Love the buff on demons). I 100% agree Revs are not S tier though, I always thought they were over-hyped.

  4. For me the banshee has proven to be the deadliest. It even hunted me once while I was at 83% sanity after being in the house for just a few minutes at the start of the investigation. We had no evidence yet so we had no idea what we were up against leading up to that.

  5. I like your vids, especially Phasmo Mega Guide, but with quite a lot of info in this one I disagree.
Spirits C rank? While they do not have a unique way of lowering players sanity, they make it up in activity, a Spirit will lower your sanity almost as quickly as a Jinn on pills 🙂 Spirit can still shred your sanity to nothing even if you are using totally OP candles, candles can completely stop a Demon or a Revenant from hunting (these 2 Ghosts have no way of lowering players sanity at a reasonable speed).
Poltergeists while not as capable at lowering sanity as a Spirits, they have a unique way of doing that by throwing objects (unless that is a false info I have heard somewhere, in which case I would like to be corrected). For me they seem especially deadly but I think it is just me who dies to them for no particular reason. ^^

I think you overrated Banshees, while I love them, they are not particularly deadly despite potential 99% sanity hunt.
Demons while able to hunt sooner and more often, are actually just a bother, you have to spend more time hiding than investigating, but they do not have anything to fight a player with a candle. I think they may deserve an A due to constant pressure.

Yureis are most dangerous for me because of their roaming, I had Yurei in School in room next to Gym, it more ofter hunted from a Gym or a corridor from other side. My friend and I almost run into it. When you run from a Ghost and you do not know where it is, it gets dangerous. 🙂 And Sanity drop is barerly noticeable, true.

One thing about Yokais, they can hunt even sooner than a Demon 🙂 they can hunt from 80% as far as I know. 🙂

  6. I agree on Rev. I felt Jinn passed Rev after the one update. I think Spirit can be deadly because it can be a bit crazy at times. Yokai is an S for me; can definitely hunt at 75%.

  7. In my experience, I've found that phantoms tend to catch people off guard more often than a lot of other ghosts. Particularly in an all-veteran group, people have an idea of what to watch out for, especially if 1-2 pieces of evidence have been found.
That being said, usually there are more "dangerous" ghosts that people are watching out for, and since phantoms don't necessarily give themselves away behavior-wise, unless there is an objective for getting a pic people aren't usually ready to snap a pic to see if it disappears.
I think its at a good spot on your tier list, but that its worth noting that they seem to be underestimated by groups pretty often.

  8. Your information about the Poltergeist not having a method of lowering sanity is incorrect. If a player has line of sight with the prop-throwing ability of the Poltergeist, your Sanity is decreased by 2x the number of props thrown.

  9. I think your initial assessment of the Hantu as being an A-Rating ghost is a fair assessment.

Based on my experience with the Hantu, it is BY FAR the biggest roamer out of all the ghost types in Phasmophobia.

Straight up, it puts the Mare and Oni to shame in terms of roaming.

The most famous example in my memory is on High School. The Hantu’s room was one of the ground floor left wing classrooms.

The trouble is, the ghost is almost NEVER in it’s favourite room. It roamed all over the left wing of the high school, opening every door and practically nullified our crucifix placements and attempts to pacify it with smudge sticks.

AND because it’s such a heavy roamer, it’s strength actually helps it more often than not as “Cold” is defined as anything below 12.9C by the game, based on repeated testing in game. When a ghost roams, it lowers temperatures around it, so really the Hantu creates a zone to utilise it’s unique strengths.

One of our objectives was to repel the ghost but when it hunted, we don’t know which way to look because the ghost could and had started a hunt from ANY of the left wing classrooms.

On big maps, the Hantu is definitely an A-Rating ghost simply because of the difficulty involved to track down it’s room and where it starts it’s hunts. On smaller maps, the ghost can and likely will wander all over the location making it difficult to reliably claim a saferoom to hide in during a hunt.
