  1. This was how people assumed the game worked when it first dropped. Folks would hold the main doors closed and get murdered. So everyone assumed doors were unsafe and we went to the hiding spots and found our favorites. Same as with the turning off the flashlight. It seems more natural that the game plays according to how folks perceived it right from the beginning.

  3. The devs are idiots. First they took all our hiding spots, so we adapted by using the doors. Well, they didnt like that. So now, they took away the doors for the most part, but for good measure, the upped the AI so the purposely target us behind doors…..Smh. The devs really need a reality check. This isnt how you treat your players. I already uninstalled.

  4. It doesn't make sense for the ghost to do this if it doesn't know that you are behind the door or have any reason to suspect it.
It should only do this if it's recently seen/was just chasing you imo.

  5. I have come, once again, for my schmowtz you beautiful potato man of science.

I think this change was inevitable and needed. As nice as the safe spots were in a pinch, they eliminated the risk factor of the game and, consequently, the thrill and scariness of the game overall. If the ghosts aren't a threat then what is there to be scared of?

  6. It seems they added more hiding spots per map even on professional, I was worried about 4 mans before but I think they handled it well, I haven’t seen if nightmare mode is brutal yet but I hope not! Thanks for the informative and serious videos on an otherwise scary and non serious game 🙂

  7. i do and dont like it lol on one hand i dont because if you end up in a dead end your kinda doomed now. but on the other hand you always had a safe spot to hide in the same place and didn't need to check to find any. i think the change was needed as the doors was much better hiding place than the ones they made and some was broken and you couldn't be killed at all even with your flashlight on. but as they have added in more places to hide its over all better i would say.

  8. This change is great because we never wanted to hide behind doors but we were forced to because of how few hiding spots there were. Nightmare could have none sometimes and that was brutal.

  9. On Nightmare mode, hiding is pretty much RNG based as the Ghost room and hiding spots available could be on the opposites of the map. Professional mode seems to be a good balance.

Remember, you WILL die a lot on nightmare mode.

  10. Hey Psycho, have you tested hiding behind the kitchen counter in the updated Tanglewood layout? I've recently had a couple hunts that I've hidden behind it, and on both occasions the ghost would path around the utility/basement doors and never spotted me. Curious if I just got lucky, or if it actually is a good panic hiding spot now.

  11. I like how they check behind doors but i dont like its consistency. let me explain

Did you ever, as a child, try to surprise someone by hiding behind doors? It works because noone expects you to. But do it once then they will be ready and expect you to be hiding.

I wish thats how ghost work. They first try to scan the room and randomly check the back of the door if someone is hiding. Not consistently but randomly. And give it a scale like they shyness of the ghost. Some ghost always check and some are really dumb not to. It gives more personality and makes the ghost more "alive".

  12. I like this change in addition to them giving a hiding spot.
Hiding in a closed room with little to no good hiding spots and leaving it to RNG to not have the ghost go where you are when you have no other option seems like a good trade to me.
If the devs made sure to put at least 1 proper hiding spot then that's your sure way to be safe on a hunt. Unless they still have the 50% chance to know where you're hiding regardless if they saw you or not. Do they still have that?

  13. I don't mind the change, because they added in more legit hiding spots. Instead of having like one spot in the entire map, it seems much more reasonable now. That seems like a fair trade.

  14. I like the idea, but execution is, well, very simple. But it works, we've played this evening, and I told my friend not to do this, he did it anyway, and he died xd

  15. I wish the ghosts would check the doors randomly instead of consistently. Hiding there could be a risk to take, with some ghosts checking doors more often than others!

  16. Oh boy I never expected the "ghost forcefully closes the door" thing to actually be implemented, haha, that feels way better even if it doesn't make hiding easier!
Also gotta say that they did a pretty good job so far making VR interesting again. Been playing the last few hours almost exclusively in VR because I like the immersion (:
