So from what I gathered from searching, for the crucifix task to disappear you have to find the room the ghost haunts before the 5 minutes is up and place it in that room

im pretty sure realistically a crucifix would only work on demons or things closley related to demons not all ghosts cause alot of ghost realistically arent caused by unholy means but are there cause of a number of reasons to many to name but demons and things related to demons are brought from an unholy source so a crucifix a holy symbol repels them its their weakness but i guess they had to make the crucifix useful for something
