Turns out this is actually a Hidden Ability of the Deogen. If you were there on stream yesterday you accidentally got bamboozled by me lol. I will explain this tonight! We found the secret ability of the DEOGEN. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yes it's the hidden ability, I've gotten the heavy breathing on spirit box on 3 different occasions in the past 2 days and it only worked with Deogen.
I just want to point out that this ability is activated by the ghost. At 4:22 there’s a random EMF 2 with no interaction around it, that’s absolutely a hidden ability activating. If I had to guess, I’d say that the ghost always does that wheezing spirit box response the next time he gets asked his friendliness after activating that ability.
The Thaye starts off extremely fast. Used tarot to start a hunt 1 minute into a game and it was like raiju speed except literally everywhere. I thought it was a Deogen at first but it never found me. Took some pills, gathered evidence and confirmed it was Thaye. Scary ghost if you force a hunt early lol. Slow as heck later though
I was using the parabolic mic and the ghost started talking in a language I didn't understand.
The heavy breathing has been on the wiki since day 1. Community is fast. I'm even gonna go out on a limb here and say that the Deogen most likely ALWAYS has spirit box in Nightmare mode because of this secret evidence.
And I'm pretty sure I saw CJ comment on a reddit thread saying the Deogen's speed has nothing to do with line of sight

Insym the reason why it sees through doors because it has to track to your hiding spot

Try hiding from the deogen to see if it catches you

im curious if in multiplayer if someone is hiding if its super fast the whole time or just the person it is chasing.
I’m amusing the spirit box pro will have an ability to stop the moroi’s curse. That’s propvably why they made the e curse from spirit box.
Hey Insym, you might not read this, but it doesnt have to be are you friendly. From my experience, there is a small chance for the Deogen to activate that response in response to any question.
I got it once with the deogen
Aside from the Deogen's hidden ability, there's other new responses from the spirit box as well. Also the Moroi's curse triggers from a spirit box response.

Deogen in multyplay choose 1 person during the hunt and always walk to it. Every hunt he choose random player. But it can kill other if he walk in someone. So he work not same as banshee
This ghost definitely does not like that it has spirit box as evidence
(Honestly though I think this spirit box thing would fit to yokai more. Maybe it does the breathing or scream and then hunts right after. I just kind of don't see the connection between this ghost and a spirit box ability)
Im confused on what the deogen does because i had one the other day when I was playing with my friends and it was super fast while it was far away then it got close and it was super slow
I just think that they are preparing us to loop faster ghosts in the future, since most of the players don't loop..

Yes, I've been actively using this intel to rule out Deogen lately, It seems to do that no matter what you ask it through Spirit Box.
I love how the ghost gave up on trying to get the message that he aint friendly across so he said death in a way it sounds like yes to maybe get insym to shut up. xDD When that didnt work it just tried to hunt him dead… Which also didnt work xD

I wonder if having heavy fog will influence the Deogen in some way? Seeing as it is "surrounded in endless fog", maybe there's something there like how snow will buff hantu (indirectly)
