Yeah, I feel they might've overdone the changes to wandering a bit. I've had ghosts that kept appearing anywhere but in the ghost room.
I had this too. The ghost once opened every single door in one part of the hallway with the ghost room. It did help me a lot with knowing where it was though, I will admit.
same thing happened to insym except it was worse and on asylum. His ghost was freezing too
The wandering is out of control to be honest they are great if you need photos and have a fingies ghost but hard to pin point the evidence to figure out what the ghost is

At this rate they might as well just reintroduce the "detect Footsteps during a hunt" objective… ties into the gameplay well now

Before the wandering update and even before it could hear you I had a ghost that put freezing temps everywhere, and no other evidence. We didnt find where it was and we got the ghost wrong it was crazy.
That was crazy, I totally would have called it quits WAY before then!
the wandering is defo a bit on the too much side, especially on big maps it makes things drag on for a very long time and not in the fun way
When you finally found the room it reminded me of a very similar game I had. Same room but the ghost would spawn in the hallway outside the room.
When i watch Nuzzgard's Phasmophobia Videos, i have only one scenario starting in my Head…

I'm so glad i havent encountered a ghost that wanders this much. i think i would go mad.
This is the kind of ghost hunts/ that sticks with you. I imagine a few years from no " do you folks remember that crazy phantom mission on high school that took ages? " I think there should be a ghost type that is totally random max confusion a sub mode, like iron man mode for certain other games. Also a reverse of the Spirit ghost which have strenghts but no weakness. Along with filling in ghost types from norse/ nordic that covers some clue combinations we are missing. Also maybe a ghost type or two could be based on having NO ghost room but wandering/ halls only? Hmm. Would be exciting too!
This is exactly what I feared when he announced the ghost was going to wander more. It completely imbalanced the game, which was already struggling with the thermo changes making it extremely difficult to gauge anything with the thermo accurately. It's fine to make the ghost wander more, but it needs to make sense and not break the game.
I absolutely love the buffed roaming
It's harder to do stuff sure, but it makes it more interesting and scary again.
Yes it takes a longer time to do a whole mission sometimes but that just makes each game more unique.

ITS SOOO HARD to find the ghost room now! We'll spend half an hour on the small maps because we'll get low temps in half the house on intermediate and the ghost will open doors from the entrance to the kitchen and basement. Getting the last bit of evidence has been near impossible and we'll just guess out of exasperation.
I hate to say it but ghosts need to be nerfed. I love the game but if this was hard for you, think of us laymen lol
Wouldn't having the lights on help?
I always thought a wraith cause they teleport everywhere, Th only way for Phantoms spawn in the same room as you answer the Ouija Board
