How To Control [Phasmophobia VR]: Journal, Radio, General Tips! Valve Index, Vive, and Oculus

I’m going to show you how to play Phasmophobia with Valve Index controllers. In this video, I’m going to show you how to use your journal and walkie talkie / radio / global chat in Phasmophobia VR. I’m also going to show you how to configure your controller to make playing Phasmophobia in VR more fun and less annoying.

The game does a pretty poor job of explaining how the controls work in general, but in VR, explanation of some of the games features is just outright missing. Although I put this video together specifically for fellow Valve Index users, a lot of these tips and advice will also work for Vive and Oculus users!

I put this video together pretty hastily, sorry for all the jump cuts lol.

  1. pro tip, carrying a video camera with a tripod means you dont have to bend down to pick things up after opening a door or using the walkie talkie 😉 also maybe its just me but ive had much better luck putting my hand to my chest to use the walkie talkie. if you see other vr players you can tell exactly where the walkie talkie is.

  2. Can't decide if I like toggle/press or hold/touch more… Hands get super sweaty easily and it's really hard to let go of items, not to mention grabbing items and opening doors.

Still not really sure what the Grip type does, need to experiment more if I can find comfy settings as a person who has waterfalls for palms.

  4. When I played on the desktop last night I spent over an hour trying to get people to be able to hear me. Installing new drivers and all. Only needed to press v or b…. FML

  5. What the hell is with the audio here? Sounds like you’re using a terrible voice changer. Or like if you took your voice and ran it through a really bad neural net.
