Got this on PS5 and have been playing it for a few days now. Picked up a lot of hints and tips from this video.
I like to start off with the torch, DOTS and video camera to look for orbs, while also trying to note any rooms where I can see my breath, at which point I set up the camera and DOTS to cover as much of the room as possible, then I go grab the ghost writing pad and thermometer to drop in the room, but I have noticed this isn't always efficient as a lot of the times it takes a while for breath to appear and don't always get orbs. Speaking of orbs, why is it that they sometimes only seem to show up on the monitor in the truck but not the viewfinder of the camcorder?
Appreciate these videos so much! I want to get into the game but it's so much to learn and remember. 😅😭
As i was watching this video, i suddenly heard what sounded like the "singing" ghost event from outside my room. Literally almost got up and ran into the closet lol

Had my first twins yesterday on Tanglewood Map in the kitchen. Didn't notice the curve on the activity board (I will definitely keep my eye on it next time), but there were simultaneous ghost interactions. Like you mentioned about the twins ability to have 2 different hunts at a slightly faster speed and slightly slower speed, i was able to witness that too.

I do love that the ghosts are varied enough that they can be deduced based on their observable behavior. I had an investigation that came down to either a Goryo, a Jinn, or an Obake, where I was able to rule out it being an Obake after seeing no orbs in the small closet it was in, and after the breaker was shut off. I must've been staring at that viewfinder for 10 minutes trying to find the Goryo's DOTS evidence, and eventually I found it by eliminating the other two as options.

It looks like the basics are:
1) Find room ghost is (Bring Locating Equipment)
2) Find evidence (Bring Evidence Equipment)
3) Guess ghost and gtf outta there
I got this game the day it vame out on the 29th and already been having a blast. I got it for the ps5 version as despite what other YouTubers say of the console version not having voice recognition thats actually not true as i can select it as an option on ps5 version on both controller set up and psvr2 set up
Ps: note to those who also have the ps5 version or get the ps5 version of the game:
it says psvr2 controllers are required to play the game but the headset is optional, this is actually a MASSIVE typo and misinformation. You can use regular controllers in the game (its the default set up) but if you try using the psvr2 controllers as it says they will NOT function in the game without the headset being plugged in and on since its required to use all 3 to play the game with the psvr2 controllers. So the real requirements for the game:
Dualsense controller required for non vr play.
Psvr2, psvr2 controllers optional.

Great video, one thing with thermometers leave it in the room with the breaker off or the exit door closed.
These speed up your temperature readings. As there is ambient temperatures in the game.

tip for console controls, to place things you press the left trigger (for the longest i was throwing the book and was confused why i never saw ghost writing)
also push to talk is left bumper, right bumper is radio
and i’m pretty sure it’s down on d-pad to turn on/off flashlight while it’s in inventory!
