Friends and I tried the new stuff last night and I got so frustrated that one of them kept seeing it and I was seeing sweet FA while making unblinking eye contact with the projector, so thank you for this, will try the night vision when watching for it. We figured it would be too bright or ruin it, but then turning game brightness up a little did also help so makes sense.
This is honestly so cool. Needs some tweaking, balancing, as it's vey very hard to use, but the idea is really cool.
yes, that helps but for sure they need to change the transparency of them or make the dots flex or animate because i was looking for dots to animate as they would irl. but i was giggly like a litte kid when i found out you can place them on anything! floors and furniture! disco disco

Damn, DOTS Projector is a great idea, but it needs improvements. I thought it would show a black silhouette as the ghost blocks the laser, but damn, them ghosts are like crystals.
Whaaat? You increase ghost activity with smudge sticks? Btw they're no longer burritos lol

This video made me realize that a silhouette flew right into me when my friend and I were playing on farmhouse. Very Cool!
Yeah the DOTs is hard. They should just make it so that when the ghost walks through it the green dots merge into a solid coloring forming towards the ghost
I did a training today and got a Banshee, and I initially thought it was cold breath instead, because it's so wispy and hard to see.
It's really hard to see them i just had to move the DOTS around the room even though it was right infront of ghost! i could tell by the motion sensor.
so it's better to see it inside the truck then
Kinda hard to see, I saw it only once with camera….
funny enough i kinda thought you could only see them through the camera so we used this "Trick" untill we found out you can see it with the naked eye aswel lmfao …..awkward

i honestly didnt even realize you could technically see them without a camera. i thought it was exclusively through the camera for all ghosts
We played it almost immediately once the first bug fix came out. It was AWESOME to see. Me and a friend were in a van and the other was inside. He actually saw it with his eyes and the two of us in the van were freaking out when we saw it on cams. It was rad! ALSO THE GAME IS A LOT MORE SCARY NOW.
if you have the video camera and the dots in the same room while holding it with the night vision on you can see the shadows very easily
Thank you so much! I was thinking I must be using it incorrectly. Seeing the ghost in the room just isn't going to happen with the way it's working right now.
Maybe it should stay like that. Requiring a camera for the DOTS only makes it more dynamic. It gets so old and boring when you can find evidence almost instantly with one single item

me n my friends were testing the update and i really hope they update the silhouettes as well as the cameras considering everything from a distance is so incredibly blurry
The developers have released a new hotfix patch today to fix this as well as other issues…

Yeah hopefully they up the ability to see them. We had 2 ghosts that were dots and we sat there for like 20 min watching in the house and the camera and it never showed on dots was super annoying

I mean, it literally said that it can only be seen through the video camera while on dots… I though you had some cool trick to make it easier lol
If you ever do another guide or test video. Could you test if throwing a spirit box that is turned on in a closet without you being near it will cause the ghost to go towards it?
so i found a strat on how to find Goryo that is so simple that probably wont need to say it
reqirements: D.O.T.S Projecter Ghost, 2 or more people
optional reqirements: Crucifix or smudge stick
1. use cam to find the ghost and how active it shows itself
2. have your teammate go in
3. when a ghost appers in cam, in radio say if the ghost showed up for your teammate
4. repeat 3 a few times to see if it is Goryo or not
I saw one on the dots in a doorway and it was just doing circles really fast, it was kinda funny but also creepy because I expected the ghost to move across the room not do donuts in the doorway.
so to get it clear: It needs to be that silouette?
I had one game with a Yurei, and It spawned 2 times in the Dots Projector as a shadow and I thought that was it. I ended up beeing right but that was wrong then? You need the silouetts?
it looks exactly like a players silhouette in dark souls 3
