  1. Hey. You forget about one. Thing.
If u correctly figure out what kind of Ghost type it is.
And if it attacks you u can use the crucifix and say (e'g action – go away "___type___" ) and it will stop hunting for a moment.
    Thank you
I figured this out at school.

  2. I placed the crucifix into the center of the haunted room before, and the ghost started hunting in a nearby area. I was standing on top of the crucifix at the time, confident that once it entered the effective radius of the crucifix I would be protected, and I died. It really only stops the hunt if it is in the radius of the crucifix when it BEGINS to hunt then, right?

  4. I never place the crucifix down and leave it, I always get the crucifix objective by holding it around the house and when activity starts up throw the crucifix on the ground sometimes picking it up and throwing it back down repeatedly, works even better when someone in the trailer let's you know the activity so you can time it. Placing it on the ground to sit rarely ever works and the reason it does is because you threw it down at the right time.

  5. Pretty sure it's the Wraith that has that reaction to salt not a Poltergeist.

Strengths: Wraiths almost never touch the ground, meaning it can't be tracked by footsteps. It can travel through walls and doors without opening them, and will not leave footprints on the ground.

Weaknesses: Wraiths have a toxic reaction to Salt. If a Wraith comes into contact with a pile of salt, it will immediately cease attacking.

Although Salt can make a Wraith stop attacking, it will also permanently increase Ghost Activity.

The Wraith may occasionally make footstep sounds. Why it does this is unknown, likely to serve as a red herring.

The Wraith will hover without touching the ground for long periods of time, but it occasionally takes steps on the ground. This means that the Wraith can still be tracked with salt to some degree. If salt is placed in a doorway, most times it will fly over the salt, leaving a handprint on the door that can be seen with a UV Light.

The Wraith is also unfazed by doors and lockers, especially during a Hunt. A Wraith cannot see doors or lockers, and can simply phase through them and spot players behind them. Keep this in mind during Hunts, as it can also wander into any room, even if the door is closed after manifesting.

This info has literally been decoded from the games code itself, salt has no affect on poltergeist, only the wraith, just figure i correct that so people don't die to something as silly as a poltergeist.

  6. Also additionally, slapping a crucifix directly in the center of the spawn room is NOT guaranteed to stop a hunt.

For the Crucifix to successfully prevent a hunt, it must be in the vicinity of the ghost when it starts the hunt. The Crucifix has a range of 3 meters for most ghosts, and 5 meters for the Banshee. When the ghost initiates the hunt, it checks to see if it is in range of a crucifix. If it is, the hunt does not begin, reverting the ghost back into a passive state.

If the ghost is out of range of the Crucifix (even if the Crucifix is located in the Ghost Room), it may initiate a hunt as per normal. No sound or animation will occur when the crucifix blocks a hunt. It will simply disappear once both charges have been used.

The Crucifix must be within range of the ghost's hunting spawn location in order to work. Because of this, the Crucifix isn't always reliable, because ghosts may spawn a random, short distance away from their "center point" (ghost room.) For example, if a ghost spawns for a hunt just out-of-range of a Crucifix, the hunt will proceed as normal.

In essence, the size of the room generally matters, and you might have to slap 2 crucifixes down slightly overlapping their Circles, and even that isn't guaranteed, because the ghost will spawn ANYWHERE inside the ghost room, not just the center.

  8. I'm not sure what you meant by Poltergeist and salt, the only ghost that has a toxic reaction to salt is Wraith, not Poltie.
By the way, this room is probably too big for just 1 crucifix, and if ghost appeared in the farthest corner, it probably wouldn't be covered by that 1 crucifix – an opinion formed on the basis that this exact situation happened to me. 😀
