Welcome back to Phasmophobia! I recently made a reddit post and people lost their minds about it so I wanted to clarify everything! Besides that I also want to talk about other things I’ve seen people talk about on reddit that aren’t true. This video is mostly talking and not much playing so if you don’t care feel free to skip it!

Reddit in general is just an angry cesspool 99% of the time unfortunately
I think they should remove the Demon 😆 The game hates me, i always get the early hunting Demons. Tho at least i know immediately it is a demon by the hunt
Wow, this is rare Insym kind of video.
Reddit is a worst place for healthy gaming experience. 😂
I get the sentiment behind the "I have to grind for stuff I used to just have", but that just comes with the territory of playing an early access game. Personally I think some sort of progression was a much needed change. The hard-core fans (myself included) would keep playing for the normal loop, but most people would need something to actually work towards to keep them coming back to the game
7:36 : like if the ghost do not step in the salt for a while, then it doesn't mean that it's a Wraith. They'd probably make it more rarer to get salt-footprints by probably nerfing the size of lvl2 & lvl3 salt.
That subreddit is a wild ride. So many posters assume that the devs are petty, punitive pieces of shit, when it’s not the case. I read a post where they said that the devs made the weekly hard intentionally to punish us for complaining about the lighting. Like??? This was a weekly in the past too, not everything is about us. I also think it’s kinda weird how just because you are the biggest content creator on the game everyone takes your word as the gospel and can’t possibly imaging you being possibly wrong or just speculating. I don’t think any of this is on you. I appreciate you working to improve, but sometimes reddit is just reddit.
I legit just had a game from randoms where people would just exactly do what Insym said would be cheesy: they crank up the difficulty to the max then try to get it on one hunt then guess if it's not the most obvious ghost. I find no fun in guessing, because Phasmo's an "investigating" game which adds up to one of my top games apart from it being equally scary and difficult
My guy expressed one opinion for the first time and Reddit cultists go insane in the membrane
29:45 Well said! It's such an easy trap to fall into, especially on the internet.
I'm glad you've realised your own shortcomings as well. I remember coming to your stream and because I have ADHD I forgot to read the stream title because I wasn't used to watching Twitch and when I asked what game you were playing, you insulted me saying "it's in the title, what are you, stupid?" And I was really upset and told you I had ADHD. This really put me off watching you live and stuck to your YouTube instead. It took you many months to realise that kind of attitude is hurtful but you did realise it and grew more patient with your chat, which I love. I have started coming back to your Twitch every now and then. You do still have a habit of calling people stupid, but it's in less offensive scenarios. I remember you recently saying you have ADHD too. I don't know if it was a recent diagnosis or something else, but you seem to be more understanding towards your chat making mistakes now.
I went through a lot of psychotherapy and I noticed you insult yourself for making mistakes too, which is probably why that comes natural to you to treat others this way. I don't know what adult affected your childhood so much and made you believe that making mistakes, overlooking things and forgetting to read or misread (all ADHD symptoms) makes you stupid, but it really doesn't. So next time you find yourself calling yourself stupid, remember to be kinder to yourself. You're just human, not stupid 💖
I love everything the guys are doing with this game. The only time I was ever mad about anything they've done is when they got rid of door hiding.
Just uh.. stay away from Reddit. It's the hq of armchair warriors and a miserable cesspool. It doesn't matter what you mean, if someone can lie about your intent to gain "updoots" then they will without hesitation. 😅
reddit is basically just as fucking troglodytic and stupid as twitter
I think a good idea to force people to make choices is to limit the amount of tier 3 items you can have unlocked, which also gives people reasons to prestige if their setup wasn't to their liking.
Also if they adjusted the prices for certain items that are extremely powerful such as the night vision which should be 150-200k.
What I'm hearing is that insym is too powerful
Camp woodwind is also not a good map in my opinion
I can see where they got that, but if they've seen even ONE full video of yours, they'd know better. I know I was confused when you said they were planning on changing evidence during hunts, because it sounded like you were implying the Devs were going to make it so you couldn't distinguish ghosts with hunting behaviour. But even that wasn't you saying you thought it was cheesing the system.
literally the second this strat was revealed ive always disliked it, glad to see others share my opinion as well
OMG a floating Rev o.0 can you imagine
Thats why i don't use reddit or Twitter….. If you want to have good mental health just read and don't post anything.
If you asked me……. my opinion is they did change the darkness because of how people played. When that fog weather came out, you didn't need a flashlight, especially by turning up the brightness. They added a weather type and that aids in the difficulty of seeing orbs but made seeing in the dark in general so much more easy. Why would the devs not fix that if its giving players more ease to cheese the darkness in the fog. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. That's just 1 example. I can Name more cheese changes……. like hiding spots, or moving fast while crouched so you can't loop down low behind and around the kitchen counter. To say they never change things based on how people are playing the game, that can't be the truth. This why the custom difficulty exist, so you can play how you want instead of being so fixed for those who don't like the fixed modes are
Reddit aside, I think there's something that Insym should try to understand. It is true that Insym is not a Phaz Dev or paid my devs, but, he likely spends much more time communicating with devs and providing feedback than any other person that plays the game. Essentially, he's a free play tester, and he's the best at it. The devs watch Insym play and it seems that they update the game with his play style and strategy in mind. Can't hide behind doors anymore. Insym is one of the best Phaz players, top 5% surely. He knows the meta as well as any. People at this level, are not the majority of the player base. Most people are attempting to simply go in and identify the ghost, complete the objectives, and collect their money. The problem is that since the introduction of the tier items, the payouts have been complete trash. Collecting enough money and experience to unlock items is insane, resulting in people using the Woodwind strategy. It may take an hour to guess right, but when you do, you get money and xp that would have otherwise taken much longer. This can be fixed by changing the rates. It would also be good if devs would consider that not all the player base is on par with players like insym, and it would be great if they stop trying to make things harder, for him, and focus on making the game more fun. The woodwind strategy is cheesy and not fun, but that's what a lot of players feel that they have to do if they want the good gear. Best wishes and happy hunting to all.
Continue to make the game less fun with changing it because a few people power game it.
It's nice when you clarify things like this, especially when devs get involved for no reason. Also for most other cases I would say just let it go, just let the troll train reach it's destination, there will always be people who misunderstand or twist your words and so on, just let them do what they do to survive and trust me most people will understand and they don't need no clarification 🎉🎉
