Day 25 of asking insym to play with me on friday or saturday if in asia like me
Honestly, there's no better way to learn a game than to play the hardest mode first because your only option to progress is to get good.
fokin love them 😀
walkie-talkies are cool
I feel like the argument for dedicated walkie/flashlight slots is strong, but implementing it would make the game more forgiving. I feel like that'd detract from what makes the game so special – just how lethal it is. You can't carry two handed loot and communicate with a walkie talkie, and a flashlight takes up inventory space. Both these things have their own merits towards making the game more interesting, and I think their contribution towards new players experiences in the game shouldn't go unrecognized.
I think a better idea would be 'headsets', a more expensive version of the walkie-talkie that ground crews can use while keeping their hands free, and some equivalent to allow light to be mounted to players head. They could be more expensive variants of the original items; higher price, with better functionality, making them far more suited for late game play, when every slot matters and having your hands occupied at all times is a must.
I think some balancing for the new items could be something like a slightly lighter battery life and/or an inability to toggle them on or off without a free hand. You could use a PTT key to use the headset if you don't feel like hot mic-ing it up all the time, but shutting off your radio, or turning off your headlamp, should still require a free hand to keep things interesting 😉😉
This game is so fresh and new and I'm excited to see what other new ideas come to mind. Modding community, do your thing.
its never a bad idea when you got pro-gamers with you! lol so great- Love this game, and your vids!
On the radio being useless, me and my friends use it a lot! What we usually do is designate a command chair guy, who stays and guides everyone from the ship. The other two usually goes in with nothing either using the inverse or just running through to scout out the place, the last one has the flashlight, radio (sometimes has a shovel and a stun too)and follows the other two, and gathers them. Once they're all together they walk around gathering more stuff, aside from the stuff that was found in the initial scouting phase. With that we rarely have deaths, and managed to reach up to 34 days our longest.
The base customization updates for phas gonna be rooooooollin in b'ys
15:05 little girl on the monitor
I disagree with the walkie talkie being useless. In the way he plays with all 4 people going in then yeah, but having a command center guy has literally made this game easier for me and my casual brothers. Being able to tell someone to turn around because you see a fast moving red dot (braken) has SAVED SO MANY RUNS. Telling someone where an item is or isn’t is also valuable. Turning off turrets. Warning of monsters in rooms. The walkie talkie command team is so strong
Insym please play exit 8 😋
My most favorite Trio is back!!
I miss how chaotic you guys are
Why is he tryharding getting loot instead of helping them with what to do🤯 I’d be like bro this is my first match😂
How to turn flashlight ON btw?
the shower helps remove the insanity and rest the girl to target someone else
I don't really understand why the inventory is so restricted in the first place, because there's ALSO a very punishing weight system.
I think Insym is correct that if restrictions make it less fun to interact with some aspects of the game, then there should be some way to get around them. Maybe a toolbelt that adds a slot specifically for utility items, and a backpack that either adds another slot or lessens the negative effects of overencumberence.
Still a very fun game, and it's still in early access so I have hope for something at least, there'll always be mods if they don't do anything about it.
Lavender should join in for more games!
"Will this kill me?"
gets grabbed midair
"… yes."
Insym The walkie talkies are SO good even in base state! I always choose a walkie talkie over a flashlight
Insym, I’ve been playing with the body cams mod and it’s pretty funny seeing someone run haha you should try it
You're awful at games. Why even say something like "remove the walkie talkie". Just because your games were so bad that nobody used them doesn't mean my games were. I have people using walkies in my games all the time.
Thank you for everything you do insym and all the hard work you put into making our day a little better. Sincerely thank you
The risk reward argument was a bit much for me 😅 i can see what they mean ngl.
regarding your rant at 17:58 i do think a flashlight toggle defeats the purpose of hands full items, the clumsiness is the defining difference between hands full and one handed items
i do however agree that there should be a flashlight specific slot on top of the 4 current ones
and im not sure about the radios cause i find them quite good as is and regularly get use out of them with my group
also i dont think those f you's were necessary 🙃
