Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we go over all of the patch notes for the next major update for Phasmophobia called “Eventide”. The main things in this update are a brand new map “Point Hope”, a bunch of tweaks to the items to improve progression, and an extra inventory slot for lighters only.   1. I added timestamps to the video so you can hop around to parts you want to know about! I wanted to make sure to give context to EVERY change so you know how it's going to impact the game going forward.
    TL;DW: They added a new map called Point Hope. They also did a bunch of changes to the items and progression. Besides that there are many bugfixes. A really important change is that they added an extra inventory slot for lighters only, which effectively gives you 1 more slot to use for evidence items which is huge.

    I have to be honest I'm a bit disappointed with the effective size of this update. Given that we waited for for almost a year since the last major update it feels a bit lacking that it's a new map and item changes mostly. But there are so many small changes here it will definitely change the game a lot so that is good! Also they've obviously done other things that they haven't put in the game yet, and they're still working on console, and they've done minor updates such as the holiday events and the shop update as well. It's just that I was expecting slightly more. But I'm happy we finally got a new update and I can't wait to explore it with you guys on stream tonight and probably tomorrow too!

  2. I completely disagree with your photo take. You should NOT be able to delete photos from the book, in my opinion. Right now, it takes precision, patience, and overall game skill to snap the right photo at the right time. If I could delete photos, I would just spam the button whenever anything happened and keep the best photo. That strategy is great for real life, but in phasmophobia it makes the camera braindead easy. Love the video.

  3. I think the Parabolic Microphone thing is for cases where you are dealing with a Raiju. You have a Raiju ghost in the house so you turn off all electronics, but just throw the Para-Mic on the ground without thinking, and BAM! You still get hunted by a speedy Raiju.

  4. Finally they release something, getting brainrot waiting so damn long that hundreds of other games came out while I was waiting.

    Updates would be nice. Not “Okay next week it’s coming.” When all they’ve done is do an easter event and then nothing else for months. smh. Need someone playing as community manager.

  5. I really don't understand how people come back to this game, after 100h there's literally nothing new. game should have a better ending or something, just finding out the ghost type isn't that fun.
    it's a shame that the other games where you have to locate and destroy the ghosts aren't as famous/have many players

  6. Honestly, a good way to balance the summoning circle at least a bit might be having the ghost become active with each candle light. Either throwing things or flicking lights or even ghost events as you get closer to the summoning. Even if the sanity drain is high, you know where it is. Another one, which would be much more busted but kinda cool, is using the summoning circle to change the ghost room to that space for a bit. It would be sorta balanced by the fact that you would have a cursed hunt and the sanity drain, but it could significantly cut down on the search time for the ghost.

  7. I'm watching your patch notes videos exactly for what you mentioned in this video, we can all read but it's cool to have details from you and from someone who knows the game and in contact with devs.
    So for me it doesn't mind to spend one hour because it's good information and your videos are enjoyable to watch 😛

    Fun fact, i seens a ghost once named Robins Williams ! We were so amazed xD

  8. hear me out, the amount of inventory slots are able to be changed in custom difficulty( min would be 1 plus igniter slot mentioned in video, max would i guess be 10 to still have multiplier or infinite for 0x multiplier)

  9. Bro literally not so long ago one of the ghost names I seen in one of my games was Jay Norris and to those who don't know that's a story character in GTA5 and I just thought that was really cool. ( this was like 4 months or so ago.)

  11. Regarding the increased chance for the ghost to knock over tripods and cameras: I dislike this heavily. For starters… Why? Who is this for? Is it really a big deal that the ghost didn't do it often?

    Secondly, it limits the use of video cameras and tripods. The whole point of the tripod was to be make video cameras more usable in areas the ghost was likely to be active/hunting in.

    Lastly, this hurts the solo player experience more than anyone, a group that didn't need further disadvantages.

  12. Very disappointed they still didn't add an option to change the keybind for interacting with lights and doors. I have my primary use as left click and secondary as right click because it makes sense, but it also means I constantly use the item in my hand when using doors or turning on lights.

  14. I did not know you get sanity drained even if you turn on the light inside the ghost room just because the dev has a different understanding on what a room is. That should not matter to me as player or? Been a while I played the game and maybe need to check it out again after this and some other updates I missed by now.

  15. 17:50 it's funny, I watched a video with a CC I like, watching a patch teaser for the next big update to a different game. He was streaming and got a comment telling him to stop talking over the people in the video, and he basically the same thing you did. If you want to look at the original stuff, then why tf are you doing it third party? Just go right to the actual info, IT'S FOR PUBLIC VIEWING!

  16. After all this time still no deletable photos?

    It's like nearly impossible to get a perfect game with random people taking duplicate photos, especially 2 people trying to take a picture at the same time, or so many 1-2 star photos. Many people don't even crouch to take photos. Even photos of nothing get taken (like random photos of the sky or even photos of each other) or still on the rare occasion photos of the objectives from in the van. People failing ghost photos especially during hunts. And the amount of times I've been scammed even in solo. It's so silly that getting a perfect game is basically just taking photos of salt for the entire book, especially before other people try to take pictures. People are so bad at taking photos they can't even get 3 star of the summoning circle.

    If they refuse to let us delete our own photos. Then the devs should at least let us delete other player's photos. I don't think many people are even aware of the Perfect Investigation bonus.

    I still wish photos at least got a small portion of the multiplier from the difficulty bonuses.

  17. I love the 9 salt photos and it turned out to be 8 salt and a 1* interaction on the door.
    Let us remove that photo and remove the salt photo in the worst case if that's the issue.
