NEW UPDATE: Improved Ghost AI in Phasmophobia – Level 1824



This video explores and shows the new ghost behavior in Phasmophobia! It is not perfect yet, but it is a big improvement! I also give my own suggestions for further improvements to the ghost AI! This video concerns beta patch v.0.21.1. Main Changes in #phasmophobia:
1. The Ghost will now walk to your last known location when it has lost sight of you when hunting. This means the Ghost will now follow you around corners.
2. Professional Difficulty: You will no longer be told if the Ghost responds to groups or if you are alone.
3. Added a button to select the contract difficulty rather than it being random.
4. You can now place Candles similar to the Ghost Writing Book in Non-VR.

  1. FYI: This video is ahead of the usual timeline of the videos. This explains the sudden jump in levels compared to the last video. I was just receiving a lot of questions about the new patch so I wanted to show you my reaction to the new patch early.

  2. I'm confused. I was always under the impression that ghost could hear you through your mic, regardless if you're pressing down on your button or not. Was that not the case? I see a lot of people making a deal of it so I'm just curious.

  3. It seems as though the ghost be it child or adult will choose a form that makes it more effective in its efforts. I've noticed that with your most violent ghosts they choose a larger form rather than that of a child to better dispatch the investigators invading what the ghost believes to be its home. I love watching your videos as due to my lower immune system I am unable to do much outside of my own home so these videos are a welcome distraction. Thank you.

  4. I would love this game to have a mode where someone gets to play the ghost. They would have to pick a certain room to be there spawn room, and would have to pick a ghost type. They could have a cooldown timer before there next hunt opportunity based on player sanity, and would have to wait the first couple minutes before the first hunt like an AI ghost does normally. While they wait for their hunt charge they could throw things, mess with people and use spooky sounds effects from the game to scare people if nearby, etc, maybe even get to say a quick word of their own in the spirit box if they are a ghost type that could do that. Probably would be short-lived fun but I think it would be really fun to mess around with friends.

  5. I went to my friend’s house and he made me play yesterday. It was my third time ever playing because the paranormal terrifies me, but regardless I aced a no evidence run courtesy of the knowledge you hooked us up with in your videos! Still haven’t attempted a solo asylum yet though..
