  1. i feel like the ghosts are a bit one dimensional at this point. what if only some of them did the grudge growl and some of them just talked or hummed or something. also i think that the ghosts being so zombielike breaks the tension. as soon as they become visible they dont feel as threathening anymore

  2. Hi I am just a no body watching these videos and had suggested to insym about teaming with you and sonoket gaming and DuskTheViking. Would be neat to see each of you team up together. Love your videos too.

  3. Last time I played with my friend in the High School Map, I tried to outrun the ghost.
I just wanted to try it for the first time, without hiding.
Our mistake was, that we haven't had all the evidences for the ghost type yet…
And as I was running, the footsteps got louder, as well as the noises…

    So…I died…and guess what, it was a Revenant 😀

    I haven't had a chance lol

  4. OK, maybe it is cool seeing your face now.
Mysterious and curiously well-voice-acted British headquarters dispatcher: "We've had no reports of violence, but-"
Venttex: (visible disappointment) "Aww, no reports of violence. Come on. Gimme a little bit of violence."

    (Later)
Venttex: "Two delicate skin lotions. Oh, yes. Oh, delicate. Oh, nice." (eyebrow raises) "You know if you're gonna be a Craigslist ghost hunter you gotta be pretty smooth." lol

So now you've demonstrated the biggest weakness of paranormal monsters: lack of object permanence. You kept mentioning "break line of sight" as a tactic, but I wasn't seeing the AI that made it effective. Now though: "Can't see im. (shrugs) Back to the attic." I was thinking the only issue was the pathing fails Insym showed when you two were pairing up where the ghost had targeted you but was glitching in the wall around a corner unable to round it at you. But it could be both. So players have two hidden survival advantages during a hunt. Thing is, I've never experienced this during a hunt. The ghost always seems to come right for me no matter the corner or line of sight while you can literally stand out in the open and call to it and it still glitches away ineffectually. You have trouble even getting it to follow you. XD

I run only Professional now, but I still won't do Asylum or High School. Not because they're so scary, but because of how boooorrrrrring it is to trek those halls back and forth so far without Venttex narration to keep it interesting. That's your biggest trick. The time goes by so well. You even go out of your way for Box O' Donuts and it stays fun. If those are the "medium" maps, I can't imagine what a slog a "large" map would be. I can't even put music on because I have to listen for distant (and nearby) sounds. And sounds are pretty deceptive. I've heard repeated phone calls in the High School from the exact opposite side of the school where it did ring from the right direction at least, but it sounded like it was the next room every next room.

Btw did more research on "Ghost Events"… yeah, I was clueless. Accounts are wildly contradictory across the interwebs. Even the Phasmo Wiki was inconclusive: "A Ghost event refers to any event in which the ghost manifests outside a hunt. includes; visual appearances, voices, and other disembodied noises. does NOT include: Hunts, or Interactions (such as things being moved, lights being messed with, etc)" But it adds this preface: "(verification, and elaboration requested/needed)." Heh. So even that's not certain. Either it's a matter of every ghost action (except for hunt, but of course not hunt) is a potential event and just gets a frustratingly random chance of counting or, as you suggested, all of them count as events but the game execution is just wonky.

Now I want to understand the EMF reading dynamic better. So hit-or-miss to nab the EMF 5, but if it be madness, surely there be method in it.

  5. I've wondered about this for a while, but so many Youtubers who understand the game will put their video cameras in the corner opposite the door. I always put mine in the corner next to the door, in the spot theirs looks at. Is there a reason for crossing the whole room to place the cameras?
