  1. I don't think you need to be in a 5 meter radius for a photo to count. I once were trying to take a photo of the ghost while being hunted. I sadly didn't get the ghost as it was dissapearing right when I took the photo so I ended up with just a photo of a long hallway. Luckily though there was an open door at the end of the hallway where you could see into the bathroom and the photo actually counted as "bone" evidence since they were lying infront of the toilet as I found out later. The bones were easily 15-20m from me when I took the photo.

  2. Thanks for this guide. Lots of useful information. I have often held still with the light off while wearing the head mounted camera if I was unsure if I had placed camera's in the haunted room. I love the options this game gives you, and the usefulness of communication. If you are the Van guy or girl, you are important! You are keeping me alive lol.

  3. I actually loved this guide. As a programmer and engineer, I loved the very technical and in-depth explanations of how things worked and their functionality. Knowing things like the range and mechanics of certain items and gameplay elements is always helpful!

For example, my friends were bringing the parabolic mic with them to small houses, smudging and dropping the stick while it's still burning, putting the sensors too high, leaving lights on while trying to spirit box, and even trying to use the crucifix to STOP a hunt rather than prevent them.

Thanks and kudos for the guide!

  4. Sometimes the ghost dont care about the crucifix or the smudge sticks i tested some ghosts it works on others well except oni, jinn, wraith(well sometimes),and lastly demon. But sometimes it maybe a bug. Also using salt can be useful against some ghosts to find fingerprints well except wraith since they can fly! Also most sensors are not always good beacuase some ghosts technically avoid them!

  5. This guide is awesome!
I loved using the salt haha but I wasn't aware of the extras that happen with it.

I will note that the head mounted camera is great for my coward friends. They like to watch from the van if thier sanity is low and look for orbs. Instead using a video camera

  6. this was a nice detailed overview. thanks for all the info.

But I wanted to add ideas regarding the less useful items:
    – Infrared Light Sensor -> I noticed 2 uses. 1) placing it near a spot that you are using to hide during a hunt will signal you, that the ghost is right outside that spot, if there are gaps within the door, so that you will see the light (e.g. for wardrobes). 2) on large maps, you can use them infront of cameras to narrow down areas with movement if you already exceeded the amount of regular motion sensors.
    – Head Mounted Camera -> if you are in the van, you will be able to follow your team mates to see what is going on during a hunt, when the radio is cut off. I had that the other day, when my team mates did not respond anymore, but I saw them running into a wardrobe via their head camera. They were target of a hunt in that moment. For some reason, the main door was still open though. But due to the onging hunt, I knew that I will definitely not go in.

  7. Another good use for the infrared light sensor would be for larger rooms, like the farmhouse attic. Put them in the corners to get a decent idea of where the ghost is in the room.
