Answer: Yes. The crucifix will work in your hand or on the ground. As long as the ghost attempts a hunt within the range of the crucifix (5m for banshee, all other ghosts it’s 3m), the hunt will be prevented, no matter if it is in your hand, or placed on the ground.

  4. Huh always thought you had to drop it to make it actually work
    But good to know that isn't the case
    still the drop it on the ground i think is better as you can keep other stuff in your inventory
    Might be of use if you're with a matey and you can follow the ghost around via spirit box meaning you have a walking 3 meter hunt proof shield lol

  9. Eh first time i knew about it!
    Dunno if it works recently or from awhile ago
    I play with random who walking with crucifix and say "come ghost i have the power of god protecting me"
    and…. she died….
    From there i always drop crucifix 😀

  21. Yeah it does, you still have to be in the right area and if it works and uses the charges the crucifix will be destroyed and disappear from your hand
