Phasmophobia – The Most Cowardliest Ghost Hunter – 1 – Hey

Phasmophobia is 100% the scariest game I have ever played. I’ve played my fair share of horror games over the last twenty years or so and none have ever scared me as much as the anticipation of terror this game provides. Walking into a house, knowing that there is a ghost simply waiting to take a shot at you, is one of the most frightening experiences I’ve ever had in gaming.

If you’re unfamiliar, Phasmophobia puts you in the shoes of a ghost hunter. You travel to various locations to document ghost activity. The gameplay has us using a lot of tools to detect the presence of ghosts and our main goal is to identify what type of ghost it is. That sounds a lot less terrifying than it actually is, and I would definitely encourage you to check out the game for yourself!

I remember playing Doom 3 and Condemned in the dark as a teenager, what I had previously considered pretty scary games. But nothing, and I mean this with every fiber of my being, has scared me as much as Phasmophobia.

Although the game has VR support (which I’ve heard is even scarier) I am poor and so I have to play on a computer. Sorry, I do think it would be better if I used VR.
