  1. Hey Venttex, I have a challenge for you on professional highschool.
Only use the "useless" items to find and identify the ghost, no basic items. thermometer or local chat for audio clues

Are you up for the challenge?

  2. Does the ghost begin hunting from its room everytime? For example, if the ghosts' room is in the nursery of a house and it hunts 5 times, will it begin its hunt from THAT room all 5 times?

  3. I like the salt in specific circumstances late in the game once other diagnostic tools have been set up and used. For instance, we'll usually have freezing temperatures and spirit box but be lacking fingerprints (or vice versa). Maybe in one of those tricky rooms where there aren't many surfaces for fingerprints to be on. In order to narrow down our options, I'll tell my teammates that I'm going inside for a "science experiment".

I then proceed to go inside and dump both containers of salt in the ghost room: usually 1-2 piles near the threshold and the others scattered about. Then I wait around and possibly provoke the ghost to see if I can get any footprints and disturbed salt piles. If I see the ghost track through it without disturbing the piles, I start to suspect a wraith. Especially if the activity suddenly picks up afterward and/or we don't hear footsteps during hunts.

And if the salt piles do get disturbed (if it turns out not to be a wraith), thus ruining my hypothesis, I can at least get some pictures of them for extra cash.

  4. you forget footprints with the salt. you can get money if you take a picture of it. also. if you have a footprint. then it not a Wraith because they dont leave footprint

  5. If its a Mare, they shouldn't choose to turn on the lights since that's actively detrimental to their skill set. I think they should change that and tighten up the ghost behaviors in general to make it easier to pinpoint which it is, even without evidence.

  6. great video! only thing I want to do is make a case for glowsticks! if you get a quick 3 main evidence and you are trying to squeeze out as much cash as you can, throwing salt down and putting a glowstick next to it is great for getting multiple (up to 5 seperate photo evidence) show luminated glowing footsteps walking around also perfect for pinpointing how far a ghost is wandering, with a niche for narrowing down if it's a mare or another wandering ghost. I know it's not the most useful item, but can be a cool help if you use crucifix or just want more money.

  7. tbh, some of these tools only work when playin as a team (2-4 players) and one stays at the van/truck to monitor the cameras and panels, sound sensor being the most obvious one
salt is dubious, only worth vs wraiths if you REALLY need to end a hunt early to get a push to exit
Glowstick is also only useful if salt is being used to track movement
candles have a use in HELPING avoinding/dampening sanity loss, they also can be used to keep an area lighted in a hurry
infra red light sensor is basically the motion sensor sans the objective but with the utility of a candle (it helps iluminate an area, using it on ghost room can help keep visibility decent)

  8. Can take a picture of the salt moments after the ghost steps in it for another interaction photo, but if you're not there or don't have someone around keeping an eye on it then you'll miss it. The ghosts foot prints show up under UV (flashlight or throwing a glowstick) after stepping in it too, but they don't count as an interaction photo, sadly, but footprints can be used to either determine whether or not it's a wraith! This strat is typically used for challenges when items are limited. Fun facts~

  9. Crucifix is not bad. You can use it to get the extra $10 (or 20/30 depending on difficulty).
It won't always work, and it's not worth taking a lot of extra time to get it to work…
but all you have to do is throw it in the right spot, and you have a 50/50 chance of extra money.
agreed on the other items though.
