Quick tutorial on how I managed to fix this issue I was running into. I showcase one of the other methods I was seeing around but that one actually did not work for me. The real fix has to do with the Oculus app. When I launched it originally I had a screen pop up saying that the installation of Oculus was broken and needed to be repaired. I went ahead and uninstalled the entire application. Once you’ve done that you should go onto the meta website and find the desktop application. Install the Oculus app all the way through and it should automatically sign you back in. If not then you’ve got to sign in yourself. At this point my Phasmophobia launched right away as I had it “running” in steam.

Dam, out of all the ideas I came up with thinking why my phasmophobia wasn't working, oculus was the reason. Thank you for this video, helped me a lot
