Krampus is here! And with it he brings a new community event for Phasmophobia. He also brings two new badges and a new trophy. But is it all the hype were expecting?

Let’s just say, this event was a bigger letdown than I thought it would be. After that Crimson Eye event, I had such high hopes for this one but… disappointed. This feels grindy and icky. I don’t love it. But I want to know what all of you think of this event. Is it good? Is it icky? Let me know!

  7. First thoughts "my algebra book is more scary than this event". When it comes to the jack in the box, i would love if they do somethinng, like have a random effect every time you open one (like tarot cards). Like start a hunt, ghost event, change de ghost room, something .

  9. From the footage shared in this video, I have to say I love the concept of Krampus. Just the other day, a friend and I were discussing how exciting it would be to see that mythology incorporated as a ghost model or theme. This idea definitely earns an A+ from me.

    That said, I have to agree with your points about the decorations feeling lackluster. There’s nothing that really captures the Christmas spirit—no Christmas tree, no string lights, nothing to create that festive atmosphere. It would be great to have a cheerful, holiday vibe before stepping inside to face Krampus.

    I’m hoping they might release a patch or that CJ might enhance the artwork for the event to better reflect the season. As it stands, this feels like a bit of a letdown compared to the Halloween event.

  15. I've just started playing the new event and boy..
    For one, I love the Krampus looks and sounds.
    Searching for boxes and activating them? Sure that sounds like a fun activity that I like.
    But indeed I'm missing some ambiance for sure. And I guess also some extra gameplay.
    Last year we had a gun and needed to shoot 50ish tiny hidden snowman and in the end the ghost changed into a snowman. THAT was fun and awesome. Even though you needed to turn the map inside out to find the last 2 snowman. It was something different.
    Anyways what they did make, sounds and looks good, except for the christmas brance vomit.
    The event is litteraly a copy past of halloween. If they just changed the idea of "Find this item and click on it" into something else with skill or random, it would have been more fun.
    Imagine if we could have some snowballs which would stun the ghost (like an incense) if we do part of the event for the map we're playing on.
