doesnt saying the ghosts name over and over just piss it off and increase a chance of a hunt, which just means certain death for them both? lol
Couple tips because this game is super fun you just have to learn it. being in dark rooms, interacting with cursed possesions, witnessing interactions all lower your sanity; the lower the sanity more likely youll get hunted. Walk around with thermometer and camera to check for cold rooms or orbs if you get either it indicates the ghost room. If you hear or see the ghost interact with anything check EMF and UV(also indicates ghost room). Once the ghost room is found set up DOTS and book. Periodically check spirit box in the ghost room usually being alone works best lights have to be off. Keep an eye out for all the evidence and mark and rule out ones as you go until you know what ghost it is. If you are being hunted dont talk, turn off all electronics and find a hiding spot and make sure the ghost doesnt see you enter the hiding spot

As a phas player myself, it is a little tricky to learn at the beginning, but the more you play & practice, you’ll see just how fun this game is. Massive W tho.
