Playing the ORIGINAL version of Phasmophobia in 2022

Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/nuzzgard

Welcome to a special video where I got to revisit the original launch version of Phasmophobia in 2022. This version is from around September 2020.
The Phasmophobia Devs kindly shared this build with the official Phasmophobia content creators – note that this is not publicly available.

Let me know if you want to see more of this as I have a LOT more footage.
Enjoy this wild trip down memory lane, the nostalgia is real.

  1. I love everything they've done with the game, but man do I miss old ghost events. Having your lights flicker every time you see a ghost is scary sometimes, but nothing beats that feeling of just randomly seeing a dead person walking around the ghost room out of nowhere with no electronic interference.

  2. So lets stick it a bit together for the complete nostalgia:

No Sprinting you are the slowest person in the universe
    Chunky big useless Parabolic
    Infrared Sensor
    Burrito Smudge
    Looping Ghosts (accept Rev)
Ghosts were dumb as hell (losing you like a second they dont see you)
    No Photos from Book writing

Vodoo Dolls who were more cursed then the items today.
    The unholy Trio WMD
A Camera that is a better Flashlight then the entire Flashlights together in the truck
    Chicken Bones
    Luigi Boards were rare
    Looking Videocamera only in truck
sometimes you cant see with the videocamera but it was on (bug)
throwing book into the air to see throw the camera
Ghosts dont want you to be insane and are mobile sanity pills (events just increases your sanity)
The heartbeat is so loud that you could think you have the biggest heart in existence
You can take a Photo of Thomas Wilsons PC to get an interaction
Fingerprints were allways there and never disappear
Savespots like the Ridgeview car or others were you allways be save
    DIE DIE DIE Book
You dont have an ALL Button for your Items

and one of the best ones:
    "E" Spiritbox

Phas comes a very long way in just one and a half year that is really amazing.
Comment your nostalgia here for more and have a good Night all!

  3. the old version bring back memories when the game felt scary because you don't know how it works . i remember my very first game on phasmo: my friends bring me on professional prison they told me the map was just released , how it ended? welp it was a rev so … xD

  4. This is one of the main problems with early releases….players get attached to how things "used to be" before the game is actually "officially" released. So the game is "old and way too different" before it even launches. hahaha.

  5. I haven't seen it completly yet, but I love it! So yes more of it please! 😀
I've seen old videos when you've played with Emilia (I hope its how you write it 😅) where she hid the items and you had to seek it and complete the mission. I would like to see more of those too 🙂

    greetings from austria ☺️

  6. I remember looping the ghosts so much. It was like playing Dead by Daylight. I was never scared of any ghost except for revenant. Second scariest was Jinn, but when you knew it was a Jinn, it wasn't as scary as you knew it would slow down when it got close enough, but not kill you.

  7. ngl i really miss the old phas, though the improved version is definitely more terrifying. i'm just not very good at video games so the challenges to the game now are a negative addition in my eyes (i'm a minority so dw ik it's for the best) although if they update the player model animations i will be very upset. i love the quirkiness of it, they shouldn't 'improve' that

  8. Definitely would be nice if they offered this as an option, like others have suggested but like a permanent option. My husband likes the simplicity of it. Said it focused his fear on one element as opposed to spreading it.
