  1. Umm..I worked for a McDonald's for many years and the machines that do the ice cream and shakes have an automatic timer for cleaning, so… depending on what time you go they will say the machines are down.😬

  2. I've heard stories about the mcdonalds ice cream machines being impossible to clean, and thus becoming sugary, roach infested vats of mess, and multiple employees confirmed that the machines are just so disgusting they can't serve to customers O_o

  3. my friend works at McDonald's and she posted a video of their machine

what they mean by broken is the ice cream is continuously pouring out of the machine and won't stop.

I personally think they should get better machines. don't remodel the place, buy better shit.

  4. So I read a little bit about why they say the machine is “broken” it’s really just because it takes about 2 or more hours to clean apparently. So they never clean it so they have to tell you it’s broken instead of telling you it’s dirty because that would make them sound lazy. Which at first it does, but I use to work at a movie theater and clean out popcorn machines, which I’m sure we’re less hard to clean but I still think there’s a similar concept here. When you get to the end of the shift you would be the one supposedly in charge of cleaning the machine. However let’s say you had so many customers that it pushed you to the very last few minutes of your shift. Well too bad now your going to have to stay past your shift time of midnight. Scrubbing the daylight out of this machine that seems disgusting. So you do that and it takes you a good hour or however long. Never mind the fact that you just did an 8 hour shift and your exhausted. Keep in mind you don’t get paid overtime for what you do after your job hours, you get paid even less than your working hours, because it’s not your usual hours. So you finish up and you go home to get some sleep. Just for your boss to call you to come in for another shift the next afternoon. And yes maybe you could talk to corporate or maybe the manager could talk to corporate about how this is a problem, but honestly McDonald’s is a billion dollar company they’re not going to change something if it’s going to cost them more money, and by the sounds of it these ice cream machines are cheaper but much harder to clean. That’s why so many employees don’t even bother at a certain point to clean them because they are not getting paid enough nor do they have enough time in their shift to clean the machines regularly. I don’t know this for sure but working in a theater I can imagine that’s why they don’t. Maybe some of them are just lazy depending on the location and the person but trust me certain minimum wage jobs these days are hell. Be lucky if you don’t have one. I truly believe America will one day come to a point where it will have to change the way it does minimum wage jobs, or else something bad is going to come of it all.

  5. I used to work at a McDonald's
We had to tell people it was broken when it was over heated because it's a popular item and it gets hot. We physically can't fix it. We had to call someone who knows how to fix it. I get it's frustrating. Sometimes our machine would break and it'd take a damn week to have the only guy come in. Work for a McDonald's and you will quickly learn how bull shit the company is. The one i worked needs a bunch of new machines. They are so old and have never been replaced. I cant tell you how many times our bacon fryer thingy stopped working because you BUMPED the handle. :/ every McDonald's in my town is locally owned so we don't 100% follow corporate.

For example 3 hrs away x item is available. But in my town is not. I got yelled at that we didn't serve the item and that i was charging too much for the alternative.

  7. Mcdonald's and taco bell piss me off with either bad food or lazy employees. Burger king can be bad but it depends on location. I try to go to local places and not doing fast food places because they need the money as well as deserve it for service and food.

  8. Chick-fil-a is only good service and food consistently don't like their personal views of people from the CEO but the workers are decent and food again is good.

  9. Lol everyone rips on Mc D. for not having their machines running correctly… I think the last thing I got there probably about a year ago was a breakfast sandwhich. Besides that the rest of it is like eating meat bricks or stale potato slices.
