The Best Custom Difficulty Settings | Phasmophobia Guide

By now, you’ve surely heard of Custom Difficulty. I recently asked about it as a poll on my channel and about half the people said they either didn’t play custom difficulty or they didn’t know much about it. Of the rest, a bit here and there and some that were really into it. So this week, I want to explain why Custom Difficulties are very important in Phasmophobia. Even if you’re a new player, there is a difficulty for you! Even if you’re a pro, there’s a difficulty for you! And even if you just wanna have fun, there’s a difficulty for you. So I’ll share my three difficulties that should work for all players. If you have your own set up that you love, share it in the comments with the multiplier and all your settings!

Remember, if you’re not playing on the easiest settings, it’s always good to use a candle to keep your sanity high. You can set your multiplier higher by disabling flashlights, the fuse box, and increasing the sanity drain. Most of my games are somewhere between 13 and 17 multipliers so I get the most reward for my time. This also allows me to decide how hard I want to make the game. While x24 is the most rewards, it’s very difficult and for most players, it will be more frustrating than rewarding. But remember, gaming should be fun – so play with the settings you most prefer!
