The Crucifix DOES WORK in Your Hand! | Phasmophobia #shorts

Even when I did my crucifix video a year or so ago, I wasn’t sure if the crucifix was actively working if it was in your hand. While I know waving it at the ghost won’t do a dang thing – if the crucifix is being held by a player, does the game treat it like it’s placed on the floor? Based on this video, I’d say yes! I suspected that was the case before, and now I know for certain, it does!

I don’t know if I’d say it’s better to hold it than to place it though as you may be tempted to swap from it to something else or move out of the range of the ghost thus giving it an opening to start a hunt.

  1. I don't know if it's always worked in your hand (I used to insist it didn't just so people would leave it on the floor, plus before the visual update there was no way to tell) but I think I recall seeing it prevent a hunt shortly after they added the crucifix visuals.

I still think it's in general better to leave it on the floor to negate the space, as you might wander off or something.

Also, I wonder, but I imagine VR players can stick a crucifix on their belt and have it working all the time since they don't "pocket" it.
