The Level 1 Challenge – Phasmophobia [LVL 5274]

Welcome back to Phasmophobia! This time we go back to our roots and try to feel what it’s like starting at level 1 once again. This is a starter item & default settings challenge. This was actually a lot more fun than I expected. I wish I could relive the good old days of being absolutely utterly terrified by this game. Those were good times. Also for all the high level players out there: be sure to be nice to the lower levels out there! We can be nice and help others out, I believe in you guys! I hope you enjoy this video, much love and see you during the streams 😀

I stream every day live at 7PM CEST, 1PM EST, 10AM PST over on https://www.twitch.tv/insym

  1. First time I played phasmo with a bit of knowledge. I said the right evidence and what ghost it is, but being a level 1 in phasmo, they doubted me and picked the wrong evidence and ghost type.

  2. You may be joking but watching your videos, me and my friends have gotten a lot more confident to drop out flashlights for very useful items, then we'll chicken out a few minutes later after seeing stuff move.

  3. When I was just hungry for more Phas content and went to watch your twitch vods, I felt like I was seeing into the future! TURNS OUT I WAS!!!

Watching you play Phas and explain everything empowered me to try playing it again on my own. (MY toxic trait is that I never play blind. I always download every little bit of info about a game, its story, mechanics, etc before touching it.) I played a round with my boyfriend, who is a true newbie, and he got me killed by messing with my crucifix placement. Granted, when the ghost hunted, I panicked and pretty much ran into it, but I wasn't expecting it to hunt because I had placed the crucifixes to have good coverage of the room! He stacked them on top of each other in a corner. Like, why? I'd get it if he'd put them there to begin with because he doesn't know any better, but I had placed them and he moved them.

  4. I learned about the electronic thing from you, but flashed my light to see where I was going before turning it off and hiding in a locker. But I flashed it too close and the ghost still found me. No it wasn't right behind me, I was in the locker for a good bit before it found me.

  5. I still remember when I was level 1. When the ghost starts to hunt, I kept trying to open the locked front door. Eventually give up and die. Then realized I can hide in closets after seeing one of your videos. Lolz

  6. oh literally anytime before i was like lvl 100 people would kick me out constantly before i even got to say anything. so yea i feel the struggle but tbh i think people need to remember that how would those people ever learn the game if they never got to play with anyone like i guarantee you could enjoy your game with some low lvls in the lobby and just help out a bit that way everyone has fun. that way you don't make people not want to use multiplayer or even just leave the game entirely.

  7. Lvl 13 and got kicked out of several lobby’s cuz I didn’t know you had to press v to speak locally. Spend hours to figure out what could be wrong with my mic until someone told me to press v 🤦‍♂️
Note: I usually play it in vr but due to the new update it’s too bugged

  8. My level 1 experience happened shortly after I started watching Insym on YouTube. I didn't know anything about how the ghosts work. This was back when thermo was useful and you could talk in closets without dying, and when the ghost's pathing and object permanence were not the greatest in the world. I still ended up dying because I thought I could hide in a corner and look away from the ghost. I only ever played with a few close friends. I've had the game for several months now and am almost level 2200. I mostly play solo; I've only ever joined a public lobby once and was kicked for "not being cool enough". This was when I was level 1300+. Needless to say, I'm willing to play with low-levels and teach them the mechanics of the game and how they work. I'll never play in public lobbies or make one myself.

  9. Oh my GOD…I just played a game with friends, and apparently immediately after we all left the lobby saying goodnights, my best friend who was the last one remaining sent us this discord message:
"You guys left, the lockers in my game slammed shut and I heard the "ahhhhhhhhh" sound ghosts make and then all of the paint cans fell in a pile by the shelf" with a screenshot of a ton of scattered paint cans in a pile, and I told him I was going to tell you immediately, after asking if he was serious, so if he was trolling me he would have admitted it then because he's not a complete jerk lol. He also said it happened immediately after the last person left. PLEASE HELP
