Hello! In this video I’ll be ranking all of the items in regards to their usefulness, ranking from S (most useful) to D (least useful). I’ll be explaining my reasoning for each one and why I think they belong there, and I’ll briefly explain how each item works for those who may be newer to the game!

I think that all items sould move 1 down and D items go to E exept of thermometer and Sanity pills because Sanity pills feels like cheating and thermometer is best at finding the room and it is also giving you primary info.
A fair rank for each item, and a superb informational video for new players.
My friends that I play with seem hellbent on using the UV flashlight to check for footprints, even though we always bring glowsticks, which made me wonder if they actually knew that the glowstick does the same thing; but with less margin for error depending on how you drop the flashlight.
On that point, something else you could do with the glowsticks, is to illuminate a path to a closet, should you foresee yourself be unfortunate enough to be caught in a hunt, without a flashlight.
Not super likely, but if a friend is playing pack-mule, you might have saved them.
IR sensor is very useful
Cant really agree with Sound Sensors being least useful, cause of the Countless times I used them in High school to cover the lower floor and spared me a lot of time finding the ghost room with it.

if the smudge sticks are a must have then the lighter is also a must have… that is my opinion.

I would place the tripods lower, as they are not necessary, and one big disadvantage is that they have to be held without scrolling to another item until they are placed, which is quite challenging.

We use the glowstick for three things:
1) Someone took the UV flashlight and lost it
2) To get good photographs of Fingerprints without having to have someone pointing at it with the flashlight
3) Raves.
Sound sensors are pretty good since they can be used to narrow down ghost locations on large maps like Asylum
EMF tool is kinda questionable being S tier since it can seem a bit unreliable at times to pick up EMF5. The Van's chart is an easier way to get EMF5 evidence in my experience.
I wish they'd buff the high tech stuff
Due to the fact that you can see emf from the truck, maybe EMF is more of an A tier item haha. Or even less, because it can be unreliable. Just my opinion
I'd argue some evidence tools are less important than others. For example, the UV light can look for fingerprints sure, but so can a glow stick. Making it not the only option. Where as you need to use an EMF to get that reading. Thermometer is definitely an interesting case because it's not necessary to get freezing temperatures, but makes every run significantly easier. Book is also higher for me, since you can place it and forget about it, plus it gives you additional money for pictures.

motion sensors are good for tracking where the ghost is during a hunt for example(especially the ones that light up).
That way you can know wheter a revenant is going to fk you in the a** if you turn around that corner.(asylum example, i once got my butt saved by one lighting up at the corner, if it wasn't there i would've moved and died)
infrared motion sensors are good along with sound detectors, sound detectors can make you guess correctly where the ghost usually is at/active.

If im ever in medium or large maps, Ill use the motion sensor to mark which room the ghost is in when i go back to the truch, so I dont lose it. It ranks higher for me

Motion Sensor is S tier at least briefly. If you play with friends who don't know that you can trip the motion sensor as a dead person.
Loving the lists. Personally, I feel setting the ghost identifying items to S tier is a detriment to the list, and it may be more interesting to rank them according to their usefulness not to identify the ghost, but to locate the room. In any case, thank you for the video! 🙂
How would the parabolic microphone rank now it has been buffed? A or B? Remains at C?
I was putting salt in the ghost room then there was a mark on the salt, but I didnt see any footprints with the UV Light. Is this a bug or something?
I'm not exactly a new player but I am an extraordinarily stupid one, so this helped quite a bit
I believe this tier list is more towards beginners that gös for houses. Those doing Prison, School etc, the sensors is king.

I felt so stupid when in a mission i placed the Infrared sensor and then went to the truck and saw no UI for it…
With the new Nerfs to the Termometer is it Still S Tier? I Feel Like in professional it's a B tier Item now, but in Lower dificulties it can still be a S tier Item

I've started on this game a few days ago, and I don't know why but I've developed an unhealthy obsession with the Motion Sensors, it's already a running gag in my Group that I'll always run into the house with at least one of these first, lol.
Id like to see the items in action
In the new beta branch Insym explained how a door touch could show emf 5, I think the sound sensor should be upraded to be able to detect this from the van.
the thermometer can be replaced by simply looking for breath in a cold room. if u see ur own breath that means its cold enough to be 0

Sound sensor is invaluable on professional difficulty; allows you to get a sense of the ghost room without having to be in the house with sanity drain at 2x speed.
I feel like he should have put most of the evidence items in A tier and leave S tier for the MVP ones like the spirit box
