The NEW Tier 3 Salt is CRAZY COOL – Phasmophobia

Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we try out the Tier 3 salt for the first time and it’s SUPER COOL! It not only slows the ghost down during the hunt but it also BLOCKS the ghost outside of a hunt. ENJOY!

  1. I like what they did to salt to expand its capabilities, but I think treating it visually like a ghost speed bump could be fixed to be more immersive like the other tools.
How about the ability to freely pour salt in shapes, with the tier limits being how much salt in volume each level has. That gives you a choice to put it piles, or drag a line across rooms.
Not complaining in the least, just pondering.

  2. For your test of slowing it down, definitely made those too close together, took the ghost 2 seconds just to walk from the first salt pile to the second salt pile. But definitely looks like it just reapplies the slow effect resetting the timer back to 2 seconds.

  3. Now the salt actually works during a hunt.
First time playing Phasmo almost 2 years ago, one guy volunteered to test the salt during a hunt, during the hunt the ghost walked through the salt and he yelled "THE SALT DIDNT WORK" and then dies. Good times.

  4. Hey Insym, I noticed you were having a lot of freezes on stream today. Do you think it has anything to do with your local game files, considering your extraordinary play time in Phasmophobia? Just a thought.

  5. 12:39 glad to see someone else found this glitch! i don't know if it keeps you safe, but it's just some nutty fun. you can do it in other full closets too. i used to be able to get into the ceiling of ridgeview's second floor. i assume it can still be done. it's worth playing with a bit, closing yourself further in, walking into the clutter even. it's also fun to mess around with DOTS while doing it!

  6. great vid, here is a thought, imagine becoming and "expert" if you use "X item" more often or longer you progress into "expert" making that item get responses faster for you. This would also tie to the progression unlock so that if you use the "thermo" more often and are expert it unlocks first for you and so on.

  7. By the way, if you do any more teaching videos, I’m not being a butt head, but you should tell the people to save them selves with smudge and try not to say I’m a save you with a smudge, but love your
    Content thank you 😊😊😊

  8. I'm understand why sometimes Insum didn't turn on light on big maps. Because breaker is to far. But on small maps it easy to do! The first case in this video was in the room with f*cking breaker! But he didn't turn on light. I'm sure 90% people watching this video on the phone and can see nothing! Please, Insum, turn on the light! You're viewers will be very grateful!

  9. CW: I built a text wall, and Insym is paying for it… or maybe not if he just ignores this…

I would probably mostly use the T3 salt as a defensive measure, probably set up some lines which would make more dangerous kiting operations that isn't in the ghost room safer if I don't have smudges on hand if it begins a hunt, you could sprint potentially sprint safely out of it's vision and find a hiding spot that you wouldn't be able to get to if it's hot on your heels, or just carry a bottle and drop some salt as I am running to help create distance, maybe if I could possibly get trapped in the ghost room when it hunts have salt placed in a spot the ghost wouldn't normally walk outside of a hunt but would if it was chasing someone, but the is probably too edge-case to happen often, but I could see the salt saving people in situations they would absolutely normally perish in, I could as see it being quite useful on huge maps in some of the hallways as they shouldn't use them as ghost rooms, where the possible prolong time in the ghosts vision would cause it to sprint at you at mach10, buying you prescious time you NEED to abscond, before the ghost T-poses at you menacingly before you perish because it's too sigma for you.

  10. 30:32 did the ghost in that few millisecond turn to the direction of the room, stepped in the second salt and walked outside the room because its direction is towards the room? to know this just place a motion sensor at the salt and u will see where it came from incase it doesnt leave sounds

  11. Totally wanted to play this and looked forward to the update. But now the game is worse that ever for anyone who tries to play in VR. Things randomly falling out of your hands and belt. Flash lights ( light sources) only light less than 1 thirds of the visible spotlight. Items get stuck inside world items and environment. The book for your clues won’t stay in your hands at all. I guess they really don’t want VR community 😢
