The Parabolic Microphone is Actually REALLY GOOD NOW! – Phasmophobia New Update

Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video I show you the POWER of the New Parabolic microphone. The paramic got some pretty significant buffs in the huge new update that make it actually really good and useful. It’s not the best item or anything but it’s definitely a really good item instead of being completely useless like it was before the buff. Let me know what you think about the paramic! Much love and see you during the streams 😀

  1. Honestly the thing that made the paramic bad (and boring) before was the fact that there wasn't really any actual input from the tool, just a number that was largely meaningless. But now it actually detects (and more importantly lets you physically hear) specific noises. I don't want to just see the number, but actually be able to hear what I otherwise could not. Still, I think they could do more.

  2. I like it a lot too! Asylum is faster thxs to it (and so is prison). I do think most of the time you do not need it in school due to phones ringing. But still very nice! Also in a no evidence run, thats thanks to it you can tell if its a Myling or not. Not the best item, but it has ranked up a lot thanks to the new update.

  3. You can still hear footsteps without the paramic. A mare was stepping all over the house on tanglewood today walking to lights and turning them off. I constantly heard his footfalls.

  4. Does the spirit footstep trick still work since now you have to use the paramic? Or is it basically removed since you aren't actually hearing the steps? I really enjoyed the fact that you could identify Spirits without evidence, and without doing the smudge weakness.

besides that, now that i heard the noises of the parabolic mic i am 100% i will continue not using it.

  6. I never found the ghost room through hearing footsteps anyway. I always found the room because I could hear an item being thrown and all I needed was to find an item on the floor.

  7. Yeah paramic is pretty OP now. Its not that good in multiplayer cause of all of the people around you making noise, but I haven't tested it in large maps yet. Only problem I've had with it is differentiating between floors, sometimes I'll get readings on the 2nd floor but the ghost was actually making noise in the basement, and vice-versa. And I find it strange that you can get a constant reading of 3.5 when pointing at the ghost/ghost room, but you don't hear any noises, is that supposed to be like that? I feel like you should hear the footsteps more often

  8. I'm glad they changed the footsteps to only be heard by the Parabolic Mic. Before when I heard footsteps it was in instant giveaway of where the ghost was and I dislike easy games. So far I'm loving all the changes.

  9. Maybe the 3.0 reading is footsteps? At the beginning you said that the ghost room is emanating the 3.0, but later when you found the ouija board the readings were all 0.5. Maybe the 3.0 were consecutive footsteps.

Edit: Nevermind, you commented more on it later in the video. Lol

  10. Should make it so the ghost room emanates a subtle sound when pointed at with the para mic so its not just random constant readings. Not too loud, but noticeable once relatively close to it

  11. I'm testing the Paramic now (kinda cooler now) and also, Psycho has confirmed that DOTS save sanity (if it's placed close to your head, not the ceiling or ground). Apparently that's an unintended bug that's going to be fixed ¯_(ツ)_/¯
