Our brains are terrible at understanding stacking odds. Not only do you need to know how to apply the math correctly, you often need to actively resist your intuition about how it "should" work. And getting the equations right won't help if your mathematical model doesn't fit the situation.
1.4 million is way more than a few months of watching a stream lol i have over 800 hours in a stream and only have 100k

Im surprised no one has done "Clue" with phasmo.. at the start is going to be a Jinn in the Kitchen with the mirror. I guess with 24 ghosts it wouldn't be easy.
This game was great tho. super entertaining. Its great that Insym keeps like reinventing the game.
I have only ever used the Voodoo doll 3 times, and EVERY time I've gotten the heart pin the first time. I'm going to try again to get another tonight! Keep my streak going
Easier way to understand is that this is a 1 in 13824 chance of happening. So for every two games insyl plays, there is about a 1 in 14k chance
But, because we knew it was a demon before, and the wheel picked demon again, the chance of guessing it right was actually just another 1/24.
The impressive part is the wheel guessing the same ghost twice and being correct twice.
I think there's a Christmas update for Devour right now

i am having a hard time, i see video after video you make and try to learn so much but those ghost time after time do just the stuff they should not do in our random hunt and normal and inter. run.. jinn that never turn on breaker!! spirite that hunt before 3 min, oni that do that white ghost sanity drain and onroy that don't hunt even after 7 candles!?!? am i missing some ajustments to the game update or why my game so broken!?!? 🙁 really like this game alot..

I may be dumb but isn’t it worse than 1/24 for one because the game has to choose 1/24 then the wheel the same already making it 1/576. So wouldn’t this be a quad occurrence at like 1/331,776 or 1/48 to 1/2304 for both the game and wheel to choose the same occurrence every time?

7:35 The probability that the ghost is a type of a ghost is 1.
For thoses that don't understand the probability explination that insymn gave, the first variable doesn't matter. Just matters that the second matches the first. So the first variable isn't a variable, its a set value. The second is what we need to find out (like the ghost type). Therefore the probability for the game to match the wheel is 1/24. Also!!!! You should bet low on the first ghost and bet higher on the second as you have a 1/24 chance to get it right the first, but a better chance once he gets the 1st evidence, and an even better chance once he gets the 2nd evidence. (I'm too lazy to calculate, but I hope the theory makes sence)
Edit: Insym may never get the second evidence so trying to wait for that can also be a gamble.

Base guess is made
1/24 that its a correct guess
1/24 that its the same guess again
1/24 that the guess is correct again
which comes to 1/13824 or 0.07%
I got 3 demons in a row with my friend yesterday, there are too many demons roaming free
ive seen people win 7 50/50s straight, but this is luck on a whole other level

Before watching: Assuming the title is right, that would mean that the wheel guesses the ghost right 3 times in a row. (1/24)^3 = 0.00007233796 or 0.007%.
actually it's a .000003 chance right? because it's the odds of the wheel being right twice in a row as well as the ghost being the same twice in a row so (1/24)^4?
a Jinn can and will turn off the breaker. seriously, it happened to me, I thought the same thing, oh, turned off the breaker, can't be a Jinn then, boom, turned out to be a jinn.

You’re the reason I have the balls to go down to the basement and pull some tarot cards while my friend yells at the door of the house xD you insym alone have given me the courage I haven’t had in many horror games to just balls into a basement and say, “show me a sign” my friend said I have more balls than her. And I just recently got her into the game!!!! Day 4 of phasmo only 5 ghosts right!!!
So it's about 1 in 1000. Low but not that low. You just have to do this 1,000 more times and it should statistically happen again :).

Yes you are right it is 1/24 because:
1/24 changes for wheel and 1/24 for game but it can be any 24 it does not matter what the game picks
