So, the ghost hunting company gives them antidepressants, which prevent them from getting bothered too much by the paranormal phenomena and deaths of their teammates, so they keep on investigating and earning money…What if, when we eat sanity pills, the ghost is not decreasing activity as a direct result, but we are actually ignoring paranormal activity during that time, we are not getting scared, so the ghost has no fear to feed on, and hence cannot hunt…and if someone dies, it's not a problem, as that will mean more money for the company.

Sanity pills really are silly. Psychiatric meds take well more than a full day to take effect. So unless they're like, ketamine… okay, ketamine could work, but after looking it up, swallowed it would take 30 minutes to activate. Snorting it could take as little as 5, but you'd have to inject it if you wanted it to kick in within 30 seconds to a minute. So really, sanity pills should be sanity shots! It would be interesting if they kind of reflected that in the new Phasmo economy. You could choose between slow-working effect-over-time sanity pills that return like 1% every 5 or 10 seconds from when you take them, sanity powder that gives 5%, and sanity shots that are instantaneous and extra effective.
I mean, Leo’s channel has chemistry in its logo. We gotta trust em on this.

Meh, that's not how anti depressants work. If they actually made people "happy" they wouldn't need to push all the bunk studies :P. I guess they could be psychotropic's but that would imply that the ghosthunters are all just severe psychotics that escaped a mental hospital and that they are probably just breaking into random peoples houses to hunt imaginary ghosts as part of their psychotic delusions.
