I bet in nightmare mode,
1. Ghost evidence is harder to find,
2. All ghosts can hunt early when sanity is 75% below
3. 2 ghosts but the same type
4. Sanity drains faster during ghost events (Enhanced for Jinn and Yurei)
Sanity pills restore X sanity
Sanity pills are disabled
Sanity pills not/are provided (assuming they over-redacted to make it harder to read) Maybe making them baseline for starter difficulties as they are pretty essential but easy to afford after you have some cash.
Dare I suggest it might say "Sanity pills are consumed on use"
Very likely says – Ghost checks hiding places (This change was rather contreversial for people looking for a more casual expereince I feel in the first place)
Suspect the ghost will no longer check wardrobes below professional.
My suggestion for Nightmare difficulty was:
You are the 2nd team to enter the location after a failed Investigation (All 4 players died).
– In the Nightmare Lobby, you can only add 12 items TOTAL
– The 12 Items that you added actually spawn inside the building, on the dead bodies of the 4 previous investigators (3 on each body)
– Your Sanity starts and is capped at 60% (just enough to be hunted immediately by Demon, Mare, Banshee while offering a small grace period for other ghosts)
– You have to first go find your items on the 4 dead investigators (this could be streamlined by adding Red Circle indicators on the map)
– One of the dead bodies would always spawn in the "ghost room" to help narrow the initial search (especially on large maps)
– There would be a slightly different objective pool (So you wouldn't get stuff like stop a hunt with a crucifix since you are limited on items and don't know objectives beforehand)
– – Instead there would other objectives (like Take a picture of all 4 dead bodies, Steal an item(s) from the ghost room etc.)
– Also all of the bodies would have head cams on them so you can see, at least a floor view of the location of every dead body.

I am not against having a Map Generator at some point.
But for this kind of game it is best as a bonus or final content update kind of thing.
And it should not be that fancy of a feature if it were to happen, just a little bonus for a tad bit more replayability.
I think they just added it because I had a goryo that hunted at 70%, chain hinted, triggered no salt or sensor, spawned in multiple rooms, and gave most of my friends and I the largest heart attacks. Honestly I'm thinking it had no ghost room at all because it seemed to be everywhere but also in the room it kept ringing the phone in, it never tripped the motion sensor on the doorway of that room.
I note that they didn't list anything about insurance, the other difficulty difference.
Less effective sanity pills will make 3 player games a lot more tough!

Fuse box starts off. What if in nightmare fuse box stays off?
Sanity pills could be reworked with different tier or types.
The lowest one can recover 10% and give a 1 minute immunity to sanity drop, and the highest one is 40% and 5 minutes of sanity immunity, but the item is literally consumed on use meaning you gotta buy them back.
$15 for a one use weak pill or $60 for a powerful pill.
And bringing and using all 4 in a single player instance means you are spending $240 downing all of them in one game.

Top one has to be about sanity drain. Harder difficulties have higher sanity drain. Wonder if it will say something like "The ghost will drain sanity 3x fast."
Hey Insym! Just thought I'd let you know that that full game of Inscryption (you played the demo and seemed to enjoy it) is out! I've beat the game so if you had any questions about it for streaming quality purposes I'd be happy to help answer. The two things I will preface is that I beat the game in about 12 hours and that I enjoyed the full game much more than I enjoyed the demo.
I hope phasmo comes to console soon, can't wait to play it lmao

When the update comes out, do you think you could try the easier difficulties for science purposes to see how much easier/harder the revamp is? It could be useful for new players coming in after the update, or for people who were turned away in the past because it wasn't too clear

This is my interpretation of these 'rules'. The Ghost Room changing places is the most brutal rule I can imagine them applying to a match on large maps.
I'm imaging that the lockers and closets are removed. "There are no hiding places" or "Removed all hiding places" so the only option is hiding behind doors and furniture.
I would like some Neutral Difficulty where the Ghost cannot Hunt, for when I want to show to game to Family and Friends who never play videogames. Hunts ruin the immersion for them and they just want to be scared 🙂

I think we shouldn't be called Ghost Hunters in this game. It sounds like we're hunting and exorcising ghosts when really, we're just identifying them only. It should be Ghost Detectives or Paranormal Investigators. 🙂

My guess is the hiding places one has to do with on higher difficulties it’s more likely to check hiding places. I’ve noticed that even on professional right now they’ll check one or two hiding places and then roam unless they hear you or see you. It’ll be interesting if they look around an entire room for you on higher difficulties or check as many hiding places in a particular area and you’ll need to either hide and then run or in some cases hide on different floors so that something like a Revenant doesn’t catch you in a hiding spot.
I don't understand how to find the ghost room now, the evidence is always all over the place or sometimes seems like there is no evidence. If I find a Ouija board it will say different rooms every time. Any advice for a huge chicken that plays solo?
My mates and I always speculate about a mode where you are the removal team after the people have found out the ghost you go in to remove it or you have two phases where the first is the normal phasmo where you find out what ghost it is but phase two you remove the ghost or another mode where one of you get to play as the ghost themself and you hunt down your mates who try to find clues and evidence
Technically you can increase/reduce the amount of rooms by making random doors locked off completely for a game.
What if Nightmare Mode is you start the game with 0 sanity, no set up time and aggressive ghost activity as soon as ypu enter the location. My other thought would be what if Nightmare Mode has like multiple Ghost in the map
I think the ghost should be able to kill multiple players on nightmare mode hunts basically meaning you have to survive the whole hunt instead of someone sacrificing themselves
